The impressive entrance gate leading to Mr. Phung's house reflects his love and faith in the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.

Mr. Phung's house sits peacefully in a spacious garden in Cay Giang A hamlet, Long Dien commune. Anyone passing by is delighted to admire the impressive archway, where he expresses his love for the Party and President Ho Chi Minh. The simple gate reflects the heartfelt devotion of a Southerner to President Ho Chi Minh and the unwavering loyalty of a senior Party member. When asked about this unique archway, Mr. Phung explained that he personally conceived, designed, and guided his descendants in its construction. For him, having such a gate serves as a reminder and an education for himself, his family, his descendants, and even his neighbors. It encourages everyone to understand and cherish the peace and independence we enjoy today, and to live, work, and do whatever they do, following President Ho Chi Minh's example and living in a way worthy of our ancestors.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phung, born in 1927, has just turned 99, but he still looks healthy and sharp-minded. He still attends Party branch meetings when possible, watches television, and listens to the daily news. His children, grandchildren, and acquaintances who need his opinion or advice on work or the Party are always enthusiastically shared by him. He is especially fond of telling stories about President Ho Chi Minh to his children and grandchildren. For him, guiding his children and grandchildren to abide by the law, wholeheartedly follow the Party, and live and learn from the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh is his greatest source of pride; it is also his ideal and the guiding principle for his revolutionary path.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phung, from Cay Giang A hamlet, Long Dien commune, a nearly 100-year-old Party member with 75 years of Party membership, still enthusiastically recounts stories about President Ho Chi Minh.

From a young age, he chose to follow the revolutionary path of 1945-1946, starting as a militiaman and guerrilla fighter in the hamlets, often staying in the swamps and marshes, from Hung My to Rach Goc, until he was assigned the task of direct struggle by the revolution. Wherever he was assigned, he successfully completed his mission. Because he understood clearly that only by following the revolution, following the Party, and listening to President Ho Chi Minh could he find happiness, have food and clothing, and send his children to school.
