Some localities are slow in giving gifts to the people, the Prime Minister requested to complete before September 2

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh Signed Official Dispatch No. 154 on accelerating the giving of gifts to the People on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

According to the telegram, by the end of August 31, some localities had actively implemented gift giving to the people, achieving a high payment rate, however, some localities' implementation was still slow.

To ensure the deadline for completing the gift giving to the people according to the direction of the Politburo , the Resolution of the Government and the Decision of the Prime Minister, the Prime Minister requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and cities and suggested the secretaries of provincial and city Party Committees to focus on leadership and resolutely direct the organization of delivering gifts to all people.

" Immediately review the entire payment situation for the people in your locality, closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security , the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank and relevant agencies and units to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles (if any), focus highly on organizing the delivery of gifts to the people in a timely, convenient, safe manner, without omissions or duplication, and complete before September 2 ," the Prime Minister directed.

The Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Public Security, the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the State Bank to direct functional units to proactively disseminate and guide people and localities in implementing methods of transferring and receiving gifts (bank transfer or directly), promptly handling arising problems, ensuring smoothness, safety and efficiency.

Ministries need to closely coordinate with localities (especially at the commune level) to quickly implement the work. deliver gifts to people according to schedule and requirements.

Giving gifts to the people On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Party and State show their deep concern for all the people. Therefore, the Prime Minister requested ministries, agencies and localities to focus their time and human resources, further enhance their sense of responsibility to organize and implement quickly and safely, ensuring the right progress and requirements; be responsible to the Government and the Prime Minister for the implementation of assigned tasks.

On August 28, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 149/CD-TTg dated August 28 regarding give gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The gift level is 100,000 VND/person, for all people to celebrate Independence Day.

According to quick data compiled by the State Treasury (Ministry of Finance), by 1:30 p.m. on August 31, 1,929 communes out of a total of 3,321 communes had received funds and organized gift giving to citizens, accounting for 58.08%.

The amount paid is 5,687.1 billion VND, accounting for 53.15% of the total estimated budget of 10,700.3 billion VND.

According to the report, 11/34 provinces and cities have completed the withdrawal of funds and given gifts to citizens with a payment rate of over 92% of communes and gift funds.

In particular, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, and Quang Tri have completed transferring funds to 100% of communes and donated 100% of the funds.

Some other localities basically completed the task: Da Nang (91/94 communes); Ha Tinh (65/69 communes); Lai Chau (37/38 communes); Lang Son (60/65 communes); Lao Cai (96/99 communes); Nghe An (127/130 communes); Quang Ninh (51/54 communes); Thanh Hoa (163/166 communes).
