Among them was inmate Hoang Minh Nhat, a former honest farmer from Nam Ban commune, Lam Ha district, who, due to a moment of recklessness, became entangled in legal troubles for organizing and participating in gambling. During his five months in prison, he learned many things: from labor and vocational training to attending cultural and legal classes.

"

I am one of those granted amnesty in this round, and I feel very happy. Back in my hometown, I will try to reintegrate into the community, become a good person, and not commit crimes again.

Prisoner Hoang Minh Nhat shares his story.

Not only Nhật, but also inmate Trương Thị Mỹ Linh, who was convicted of gambling and has now been granted amnesty due to outstanding progress in prison. Each person has their own story of redemption, but they all share a common hope: freedom and a better life.

Inmate Truong Thi My Linh said: "During the learning and rehabilitation process, the prison wardens and correctional officers have provided a lot of support and assistance to the inmates. Therefore, I hope that the remaining inmates will try their best and continue to reform well during their sentences, so that they can benefit from the leniency policies of the Party and the State and return to their families soon. Now that I'm back in my hometown, I will continue my work in trading."

The ceremony concluded with handshakes, farewell hugs, and well wishes for the remaining inmates. Anh Nhật walked out of the prison gate to a tight embrace from his family.

Ms. Tran Thi Lan, who welcomed her husband upon his pardon, shared: "The State's pardon policy is very humane. This is an opportunity for those who have made mistakes, like my husband and other prisoners, to return home early, rebuild their lives, and become useful members of society."
