In the current period, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, Thanh Hoa press is transforming with spectacular changes, continuing to accompany all classes of people, striving to contribute to bringing the homeland and country forward in the new era.
Thanh Hoa Press - historical years
Before the August Revolution in 1945, along with the birth and continuous growth of party organizations and struggle movements, the first revolutionary newspapers were published in Thanh Hoa province. Despite their secret existence and constant suppression by the colonial-feudal government, articles filled with the spirit of revolutionary struggle were still maintained in party bases, appeared in war zones, and infiltrated people's lives; lighting up and fanning the flame of patriotism and the indomitable and resilient will to fight among all classes of people. Publications such as Tien Len (1930), Hon Lao Dong (1934), Tia Sang (1936), Tu Do (1940), Duoi Giac Nuoc, Gai Ra Chien (1942), Khoi Nghia (1945)... raised strong voices, exposing the crimes of colonialism and feudalism, becoming resounding calls, urging all classes of people to rise up and fight, contributing to the great victory of the August Revolution in 1945, gaining independence and freedom for the nation.
During the years of resistance against the French, the Americans and the subsequent border wars, Thanh Hoa press constantly fought on the propaganda front. Newspapers such as "Chong giac" (1946) and "Ton tin Thanh Hoa" (1955-1956) became sharp weapons, encouraging and fueling the spirit of the army and people of the whole province to move forward and fight for the cause of protecting and building the Fatherland.
On September 26, 1956, during the fierce period of the resistance war against the US, the first loudspeaker sound of Thanh Hoa radio station echoed on both banks of the Ma River, signaling the beginning of the radio and television industry in Thanh Hoa.
On March 20, 1962, Thanh Hoa Newspaper was born, affirming: "We vow to always be a pioneer soldier, standing side by side with readers in the struggle for the cause of building socialism and peace , unifying the country, making Thanh Hoa rich and beautiful, constantly renewing...".
With that motto of action, despite the harsh war conditions and shortages, Thanh Hoa journalists were still passionate and brave on the front line. Hundreds of journalists rushed into battle, more than 30 journalists sacrificed their lives on the battlefields. With the spirit of fierce and urgent fighting, Thanh Hoa press became the leading flag in propaganda work, motivating and encouraging Thanh Hoa soldiers and people to enthusiastically work, produce, fight and study, contributing to the Great Victory of Spring 1975, liberating the South and reunifying the country.
Blood and flowers; tears and smiles; painful losses and glorious victories... In the Ho Chi Minh era, the heroic and tragic history of the homeland and country permeated every page of Thanh Hoa's revolutionary newspapers. Then, when the difficult years passed, together with the Party Committee, the government and the people of the whole province, Thanh Hoa's press firmly entered a new era with new beliefs, hopes and aspirations.

A century is a long enough time frame, showing the touching journey with countless thorns, hardships but also full of glory and pride of generations of Thanh Hoa journalists. Going through the years of fighting for national liberation, going through the long-term resistance wars, going through the difficult period of recovering from war wounds, until the period of national renewal today, at any historical period, Thanh Hoa press has always been loyal, devoted, accompanying the Party, the People, and the glorious revolutionary cause of the nation.
Currently, Thanh Hoa province has Thanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio - Television Station, Thanh Literature and Arts Magazine, scientific magazines and more than 60 representative offices, resident reporters of central press agencies and provinces and cities working in the province.
Over the past years, under the leadership, direction and orientation of the provincial authorities, Thanh Hoa press has made many innovations, strictly complied with legal regulations, operated in accordance with its principles and purposes... and made many positive contributions to the socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa province.
With the role of a "sharp ideological weapon" and an "extended arm" of the Party, Thanh Hoa press has actively participated in Party building work. Over the years, Thanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio and Television Station have built and maintained programs, columns, sub-sections, bulletins, and special pages such as: The Party in Life, Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, Studying and Following Ho Chi Minh's Thought, Ethics, and Lifestyle, Party Resolutions, etc. Thanh Hoa Magazine has published thousands of works praising the Party and Uncle Ho, reflecting the great and important achievements of Party committees and authorities at all levels in building and developing the homeland. 100 years have passed since the day beloved President Ho Chi Minh founded the first revolutionary newspaper. 100 years, Thanh Hoa journalists have rushed forward, devoted themselves to the propaganda front with burning enthusiasm, with deep love for the profession and with great aspirations to contribute. Then, in the hundred-year history of the national revolution in the Ho Chi Minh era, the Vietnamese revolutionary press in general, and Thanh Hoa press in particular, have left behind brilliant and proud marks.
Today, the glorious journey of revolutionary journalism is becoming a solid foundation, a great source of spiritual motivation for Thanh Hoa journalists to continue to strive, promote the spirit of shock, the strength of solidarity, and contribute with the Party Committee, the government and all classes of people in the province to help Thanh Hoa homeland rise up with the country in the new era.
