Lesson 1: A season of experiencing and exploring nature.

In Binh Thuan province, the summer of 2025, despite many changes, tourism remains incredibly vibrant, with a strong increase in domestic tourists. Summer of expectations…

In early June, the tourism atmosphere in Binh Thuan has become bustling. Although the peak summer tourist season has only just begun, the vibrancy at tourist destinations and resorts is easily noticeable through the number of visitors this summer. Besides corporate and school groups, small groups of families and friends still make up a large proportion of tourists this summer.

Ms. Lam Kieu Oanh, representative of Radisson Resort Phan Thiet, said: "With the number of advance bookings and signals from the beginning of June until now, the number of summer tourists this year has increased by 10-20% compared to previous years. The main source of tourists still comes from major provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, the southern provinces and the Central Highlands… Currently, a large number of tourists are 'shifting' to weekends, with room occupancy reaching 70-100%. On weekdays, room occupancy fluctuates from 20-50%."

Tourist areas located south of Phan Thiet city, such as Tien Thanh, Thuan Quy, and Tan Thanh, are becoming vibrant. Instead of focusing solely on the key areas of Ham Tien and Mui Ne as before, tourists are now seeking out new resorts with pristine, peaceful beaches at the start of summer.

“Lately, my family’s trips have leaned towards a ‘slow living’ lifestyle, focusing on exploring nature, beauty, and the culture of the places we visit without needing too many high-end services. That’s why I chose to visit Ke Ga Beach in Ham Thuan Nam. Besides the ancient lighthouse, the beach is quite pristine and picturesque, with fresh air and delicious seafood. Joining the locals in pulling in their fishing nets every morning is a rare experience,” said Tam Huynh, from Binh Phuoc.

One of the most sought-after destinations is Phu Quy Island – once dubbed "Little Bali," which continues to attract the most tourists on their journey to explore Binh Thuan. Visitors can not only immerse themselves in the pristine, romantic natural beauty with its crystal-clear blue sea but also experience new and unique tourism products. Phu Quy continues to improve the quality of its tours, offering opportunities for scuba diving, SUP paddling, exploring unspoiled beaches and rocky shores, combined with environmental protection activities like cleanup.

Diverse and mysterious!

With favorable weather, abundant natural landscapes, well-connected transportation infrastructure, and diverse tourism products, Binh Thuan's tourism sector has continued to show positive signs since the beginning of 2025, maintaining its attractiveness on the domestic and international tourism map. Statistics show that in the first five months of the year, Binh Thuan welcomed over 4.5 million visitors, an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Revenue from tourism activities reached VND 12,270 billion (an 18.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024).

Mr. Do Van Hoang, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said: “Binh Thuan is a very interesting destination, with many new things to discover. Our family usually goes there for vacation during the summer, when the children have started their school holidays. What we enjoy most is the countless delicious dishes in Binh Thuan; many simple yet attractive and unique dishes that almost all members of the family really enjoy.”

According to the Tourism Department of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, the encouraging signs from the beginning of the year until now, especially during the April 30th and May 1st holidays, have shown strong growth in the tourism industry and created momentum for the 2025 summer tourism season, promising "high expectations" for Binh Thuan. This also provides a solid foundation for localities and businesses to boldly implement new tourism products, further enhancing the attractiveness of the destination.
