Heavy rains that lasted from early morning on November 5th caused flooding in many areas in the center of Da Nang City. In the photo, the Ham Nghi Lake area (Thanh Khe District) was flooded with water at 6:30 am this morning.

For Phan Chu Trinh High School (Hai Chau District), teachers sent out a notice to 10th grade students and parents stating: "This morning, Tuesday, November 5, it rained heavily, so 10th grade students will not take the first midterm exam. Teachers hereby inform students and parents."

In Son Tra District, Hoang Hoa Tham High School also let students stay home from school.

Responding to Thanh Nien this morning, November 5, Mr. Le Van Hoang, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Hoa Vang District, said that after quickly gathering information about the flooding situation, the district has not yet been flooded. However, implementing the direction of the Department of Education and Training on proactively responding to floods and promptly sending out notices to students and parents to stay home from school, early this morning the Department of Education and Training notified schools and is currently counting schools that have allowed students to stay home from school in the area.

"In Hoa Vang district, there is no flooding yet, however, the heavy rain continues for a long time, making it dangerous to travel to school. Therefore, schools will proactively notify students and parents to let their children stay home to ensure safety," Mr. Le Van Hoang informed.
