The highest subsidy for meritorious people in the past 20 years, nearly 2.8 million VND/month

The Government has just issued Decree No. 77/2024/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 75/2021/ND-CP dated July 24, 2021 of the Government regulating the levels of allowances, subsidies and preferential regimes for people with revolutionary contributions, amended and supplemented a number of articles according to Decree No. 55/2023/ND-CP dated July 21, 2023 of the Government.

Accordingly, the Decree adjusts the standard level of preferential allowance for people with revolutionary contributions from VND 2.55 million to VND 2.78 million (an increase of 35.7%). This is the highest increase in the standard level of preferential allowance for people with revolutionary contributions in the past 20 years.

The adjustment contributes to improving and enhancing the lives of people with meritorious services and their relatives in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 42 of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to innovate and improve the quality of social policies to meet the requirements of the cause of national construction and protection in the new period; in accordance with Conclusion No. 83-KL/TW dated June 21, 2024 of the Politburo on salary reform; adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for people with meritorious services and social benefits and Resolution No. 142/2024/QH15 dated June 29, 2024 of the National Assembly on the 7th session of the 15th tenure.

The Decree also amends Clause 2, Article 6 on rehabilitation nursing of Decree No. 75/2021/ND-CP. Accordingly, the cost of concentrated rehabilitation nursing is 1.8 times the standard level/person/time.

Decree 77/2024/ND-CP takes effect from July 1, 2024.
