Professor Hoang Dinh Phi: The fact that the School of Management and Business has become the first public university in Vietnam to achieve the QS 5-star international ranking is a source of joy and pride, but more than that, it carries many significant meanings. The first is that it affirms the correctness of the Vietnamese Communist Party 's educational reform policies. The second is that it affirms the capabilities of Vietnamese professors and educators. Despite not having full autonomy, strong financial resources, or many favorable support mechanisms, with a determination to innovate, create, and make breakthroughs, we can still build interdisciplinary training programs that meet international standards.

Achieving a QS 5-star rating is a challenging journey because the QS rating system is very rigorous and comprehensive. Training programs must be taught in English, have English language proficiency standards, and be internationally accredited. Only then do they consider factors such as facilities, faculty, research , business partnerships, social contribution, employability, learning outcomes, and student experience.
I believe that the QS 5-star rating is proof that, even under difficult conditions and with many obstacles in mechanisms and administration, if professors, scientists, and education administrators dare to dedicate themselves, dare to make sacrifices, and persevere in innovation, Vietnam can absolutely build a high-quality, internationally-standard higher education model using its own internal resources, rather than relying solely on "importing" foreign models.

Professor Hoang Dinh Phi: Throughout more than 30 years of development, the university has changed things such as its strategy, goals, and development model to adapt to new contexts. But there are two things we have never changed: our mission and core values.
The school's core values are built around the philosophy of holistic human development. The school places particular emphasis on "six core values" for students: health, morality, willpower, talent, love, and responsibility. We always consider students to be at the center of all our activities. The school's existence and development depend on its students. The future of the school is also the future of its students.

Achieving a QS 5-star rating is just the beginning of our journey. The most important thing isn't the ranking itself, but how we contribute to implementing the major resolutions of the Party and State on innovation, enterprise development, science and technology development, and improving the quality of the national workforce. We hope this model will continue to develop, be replicated, and that we can collaborate with other universities in Vietnam to grow together.

Professor Hoang Dinh Phi: For genuine innovation to occur, Vietnamese universities must develop their own unique academic schools of thought. If we only follow the rest of the world, we will always lag behind. Only when Vietnam creates new knowledge, new models, and new approaches will the world cooperate with us on an equal footing.
We don't believe in the mindset of "begging" for knowledge or technology from abroad. To be respected, we must have our own unique value.
Therefore, the school always encourages creativity, interdisciplinary academic development, and the creation of new training models that are suitable for the Vietnamese context while still meeting international standards.

Professor Hoang Dinh Phi: The world is changing rapidly, causing significant transformations in the labor market, putting pressure on businesses, workers, and universities alike. In our view, in the near future, almost 100% of university training programs in Vietnam must change to reduce the number of courses where AI can provide better support than lecturers.
Schools need to focus on three core competency groups: foundational knowledge and interdisciplinary thinking; life skills, teamwork skills, decision-making and adaptability in a high-risk, volatile environment; and emotional intelligence and cultural resilience, so that students do not become dependent on the virtual world or swept away by extremist trends.
The ultimate goal is to train Vietnamese people who possess cultural identity, ethics, responsibility, and the capacity to integrate globally.
