A male student named Drink Water V. Rivera (translated as Drink Water) gained attention in the Philippines after his college classmates posted a photo of his student ID on social media in January 2023. Because of that, the male student was invited by the famous beverage company Gatorade to advertise for its sugar-free drink.

Thanks to his unique name, the male student suddenly became famous on social networks.
Rivera, who studied communications at Far Eastern University in Manila, said , "My mother craved water a lot when she was pregnant with me. That's why she named me Drink Water." He now uses his name to remind people about the importance of drinking water.
Rivera shared that his mother had a knack for giving her children strange names. Rivera's siblings were also named Winner and Rice.
"I love my name, it's my brand. We've learned that one of the key elements of good advertising is good branding and its impact. I think my name will resonate well in terms of attracting attention and surprising people," Rivera said.
