After days of anxious waiting, Pham Nguyen Tien Duong burst into joy when he saw the announcement of his 10th grade high school entrance exam results.
Duong achieved a total score of 51.25, including 3 subjects on the first day of the exam: Math 9.75; Literature 9.25; English 9.75 (coefficient 1) and specialized Math 7.5 (coefficient 3). Duong became the candidate with the highest total entrance score in the specialized Math class.

Duong shared: “Entering the exam room, I was quite nervous, so the test taking process was also affected quite a bit. The most regrettable thing was that I did not get a perfect score in the multiple choice part - the easiest part of the exam. Therefore, when I found out that I had the highest entrance score in the Math class, I was quite surprised and very happy.”
His father is a Math teacher, his mother is a Chemistry teacher, from a young age Duong had favorable conditions to develop his abilities and strengths. His passion for Math along with his parents' support is the motivation for Duong to always try to conquer numbers.
Duong's father - Mr. Pham Van Tuan, a teacher at To Hien Thanh Secondary School (Thach Ha) shared: "Although his parents supported him, since he was young, Duong has always been proactive and formed the habit of self-study. With quite equal abilities in natural subjects and especially in Math, Duong has always been steadfast in his passion and choice."

Also from his passion for Mathematics, Duong can forget the time when he is friends with advanced exercises. From grade 8, Duong's studies usually end at 12 midnight, especially during the peak review period to prepare for the exam, he often studies until morning. His qualities and passion for the subject have also helped Duong conquer his goals with impressive results. In grade 5, he won first prize in the national top scorer; silver prize in the ASMO exam in grade 8 and second prize in Mathematics in the provincial excellent student exam in grade 9.
Sharing his study secrets, Duong said: “I always try to study all subjects equally, but especially spend a lot of time practicing Math - a subject I have loved since I was little. I also often do practice tests, self-study through advanced books and consult with teachers and seniors.”
Along with his passion for studying, Duong also loves table tennis. This is a sport that helps him improve his health, reduce stress and pressure in studying and has more opportunities to interact with friends. And as he wished, right after achieving high results in the exam, his parents gave Duong a meaningful gift, which was a professional table tennis training course.

The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year has left an unforgettable impression on the heart of the male student of the district school. The achievement that Duong has achieved is not only an honor for him and his family but also a common joy and pride for teachers and friends at Phan Huy Chu Secondary School - the top quality secondary school in Thach Ha district.
