Improve the quality of prosecution and supervision of judicial activities

Faced with the requirements of judicial reform and the complicated situation of crimes and disputes, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Procuracy has been making efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of prosecution and supervision of judicial activities; proactively prevent and combat crimes, protect socialist legality, and contribute to maintaining local security, social order and safety.

Dak Lak province has a large area, many remote areas, border areas, complex terrain, difficult traffic, and is home to many people with diverse cultural characteristics. With that characteristic, the People's Procuracy (PPC) has made efforts to synchronously deploy solutions, improve the quality of practicing the right to prosecute, and closely supervise judicial activities.

Identifying the task of preventing injustice, wrongful convictions, and preventing criminals from escaping as a continuous and top priority task of the sector, in the field of practicing the right to prosecute and supervising the settlement of criminal cases, the People's Procuracy has drastically implemented many measures to strictly supervise the compliance with the law of judicial agencies; linking prosecution with investigation activities; improving the quality of prosecutors' arguments in court; actively coordinating to organize experience-sharing sessions, online sessions with digitized case files. The whole sector has shown high determination in innovating and improving the quality and efficiency of work, preventing wrongful arrest, detention, prosecution, investigation, prosecution, trial, and omission of criminals, ensuring the rule of law and human rights, and civil rights according to the provisions of law. In 5 years (2020 - 2024), the Provincial People's Procuracy has supervised 100% of the reception and handling of information about crimes; The settlement rate reached 98.6%; 100% of criminal cases were prosecuted since the initiation; the settlement rate reached 99.7% in terms of the number of cases and 99.8% in terms of the number of defendants; the number of appeals accepted by the court reached 80.2%. The cases were handled strictly and in accordance with the law, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, and strengthening people's trust in justice and the law.

Implementing the policy of restructuring the apparatus, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Procuracy has seriously and resolutely implemented it in accordance with the direction of the Party, the National Assembly and the Government. From July 1, the Provincial People's Procuracy was established on the basis of merging the People's Procuracies of Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces. Up to now, the whole sector has 10 department-level units, 15 regional People's Procuracies, with a total of 434 civil servants.
