Improving population quality in Quang Tri province

QTO - On the afternoon of September 11, the Provincial Department of Population held a conference to evaluate the implementation of population work in the first 7 months of 2025 and summarize the integrated communication campaign to provide population and family planning services.

In the first 7 months of 2025, the population and family planning work has achieved many positive results, namely: Organizing a campaign to strengthen communication to integrate the provision of reproductive health care services, family planning and improving population quality to areas with high birth rates and difficult areas in 65 communes in the province. Activities of counseling, reproductive health examination, prenatal and newborn screening, and elderly health care have been expanded, thousands of people have access to services.

Up to now, the province has maintained 105 "Pre-marriage" clubs attracting more than 4,700 young men and women to participate; organized 175 seminars and talks to disseminate health care knowledge to nearly 10,750 elderly people. The Provincial Population Office always promotes propaganda activities and provides information on mass media channels.

The conference also focused on discussing and giving many ideas to resolve some difficulties in the process of implementing communication work, promoting the implementation of population-family planning models, thereby contributing to improving the population quality in the province in the coming time.
