Compared to many provinces in the region, the electricity usage capacity in Ha Nam has increased rapidly, with an average increase of 16-20% in some years, especially on hot days when the capacity increases dramatically. To ensure stable and quality power supply for business customers, the electricity sector has focused on upgrading the 110 kV grid in the area, in order to minimize local overloads on the grid. Up to now, Ha Nam Power Company has put 13 110 kV substations into remote operation mode without personnel. The 110 kV substations are connected to each other by double circuits, and if there is a power outage or incident at one station, another station will supply power immediately.
This approach has helped PC Ha Nam reduce power loss on the 110 kV grid. In addition, the company has also increased grid inspection, used high-tech equipment to detect grid failures, focused on periodic industrial cleaning, repaired and connected equipment and lines, and installed automatic circuit breakers. Thanks to that, up to now, all substations in the area have met the capacity to serve industrial production customers and residential customers, in which the average substations and lines carry a load of less than 70 - 80% of capacity to ensure continuous power supply for customers in production and business.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dinh, Director of Tan Thuy Mineral Joint Stock Company, Thanh Son Commune (Kim Bang Town) said: In recent times, the electricity industry has upgraded its technical infrastructure to meet the needs of businesses using it every year. In particular, the electricity industry has applied digital technology to operations, the interaction between customers and businesses is regular and continuous, such as guiding customers to use electricity economically; notifying electricity services, notifying of electricity usage restrictions during peak hours, power outages... by telephone system; helping businesses know to arrange production accordingly.
Like Tan Thuy Mineral Joint Stock Company, many businesses in the province, especially those in the industrial park, have highly appreciated the quality of electricity services for customers.
Mr. Vu Hoang Lam, Deputy Director of PC Ha Nam said: Putting the 110 kV unmanned substation into operation not only helps reduce the number of workers but also improves the efficiency of grid management, contributing to continuous and quality power supply for customers. In recent years, the Remote Control Center has performed thousands of operations of the 110 kV grid cutting and isolation machine, achieving a high success rate. Through that, the quality of power supply serving customers, especially customers who are enterprises in the industrial park, has been significantly improved, contributing to reducing the number of power outages and power outage times. To achieve this result, PC Ha Nam has focused on investing in upgrading the infrastructure of the high-voltage and medium-voltage grid, applying high-tech equipment to management and operation.
Regarding the management of the power grid serving enterprises in the industrial park, every year, PC Ha Nam builds and upgrades power lines to share the power supply for enterprises in the industrial park; installs more Reclosers, load switches and fault indicators on the main lines, adds transformers to the 110kV substation serving the industrial park; performs customer care, strengthens exchanges, signs transformer station maintenance contracts,
To improve the quality of electricity services for businesses, in the coming time, PC Ha Nam will continue to carry out digital transformation in the process of grid operation, invest in upgrading the grid in accordance with the socio-economic development tasks of the province; focus on digitizing all records, equipment history, construction works, customer records, payment data, human resource management, planning work; digitize all grid assets through building a grid management system on the map (GIS) and exploitation and support tools; digitize internal processes/cycles according to technical - safety, business - customer service work areas.
In the management and operation of the power grid infrastructure, PC Ha Nam focuses on reviewing and replacing overloaded lines and transformer stations, measuring heat-generating points on the wires to promptly detect and have a solution to prevent the risk of unsafety or fire and explosion on the power supply system, handling and bundling electrical wires according to the 5S standard for hundreds of power poles with unsafe telecommunication cables. Regularly coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, the Provincial Police, and media agencies to propagate and guide points at risk of unsafety and fire and explosion in the area according to the provisions of Decree 136/2020/ND-CP of the Government. Strengthen inspection, review of thermal imaging, and thermal measurement at locations and contact points on power lines, medium and low voltage transformer stations under management to early detect the possibility of fire and explosion on the power grid at times of high loads; At the same time, inspections are conducted to detect and promptly replace materials and equipment that have been used for a long time or are of poor quality. In the long term, to improve the quality of power sources, PC Ha Nam continues to improve the capacity of operating the power system, improve the reliability of power supply, control power loss, reduce grid incidents and shorten incident handling time.
