- Implementing the viewpoint of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) on strengthening the direction of implementing the general education program and textbooks for the 2025-2026 school year, the education sector of Lang Son province always focuses on training and coaching for teachers during the summer to meet the requirements of educational innovation. In particular, in the context that the 2018 General Education Program has completed its cycle and continues to be implemented in conjunction with the transformation of two-level local governments, improving the expertise and professionalism of teachers is a key task, determining the quality of comprehensive education in the province in the new school year.
Ms. Phan My Hanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, emphasized: Training and improving the professional capacity of teachers is a key factor to ensure the quality of education , especially when the education sector has implemented the 2018 General Education Program for all grades. To continue to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program in the new context, teachers must have breakthroughs in teaching methods, assessment, approach, as well as pedagogical capacity to meet the requirements for developing students' capacity and qualities. Training helps teachers grasp the requirements of innovation to continue to effectively apply them to the actual teaching process at schools.
This year, the content of the province-wide teacher training during the summer is Module 9 "Application of information technology, exploitation and use of technological equipment in teaching and educating primary/secondary/high school students". Specifically, teachers will be trained on the following topics: The role of information technology (IT), digital learning materials and technological equipment in teaching and educating students; Software and technological equipment supporting teaching and educating students; Application of IT, digital learning materials and technological equipment in teaching and educating students. To make the training work highly effective, the Department of Education and Training has coordinated with the University of Education - Thai Nguyen University to develop documents and organize training for teachers. In addition to the training topics in Module 9, the Department of Education and Training also provided training on the topic "Exploiting and using artificial intelligence (AI) in organizing teaching and educational activities at schools" for 34 classes with nearly 2,000 key teachers at all levels in the province. According to the plan, this summer, the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son province will organize 253 training classes, expected to reach nearly 13,000 managers and teachers at all three levels: primary, secondary and high school.
As the main lecturer at the training course for high school teachers on experiential activities - career guidance in the Module 9 training course organized by the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Head of the Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Psychology - Education, University of Education - Thai Nguyen University said: through the training program, we aim to improve the capacity of applying IT in experiential activities - career guidance for high school teachers in Lang Son province.
Through the training Module 9, the teaching staff of Lang Son province has improved their capacity and skills in applying IT, exploiting and using digital learning materials, artificial intelligence in teaching and educating students, thereby creating more intuitive and vivid lessons. Students will be encouraged to proactively explore knowledge and develop creative thinking through diverse learning activities in the digital environment. IT also helps teachers save time in management and assessment, while facilitating the connection and exchange of information between teachers, students and parents.
Ms. Truong Thi Long Ngoc, Literature teacher, Loc Binh Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center (Loc Binh commune) said: In addition to proactively studying and practicing on our own, we have participated in many training courses organized by the Department of Education and Training to improve our professional qualifications and pedagogical skills to help students absorb knowledge more effectively.
In the training courses, teachers had the opportunity to directly discuss with lecturers to get answers to questions about how to improve teaching effectiveness and student education. At the same time, they discussed difficulties, advantages as well as shared experiences in teaching subjects with colleagues across the province. Along with that, during the course, teachers had time to do personal research, work in groups, practice using modern tools to build lectures with profound content and more attractive organization for students.
Ms. Vu Thuy Lien, a teacher at Hoang Van Thu High School (Ky Lua Ward) expressed: Summer vacation is an opportunity for us to have more time to deepen our expertise, an opportunity to review the entire teaching process to gain experience for the new school year. Moreover, we want to be trained and self-trained in new knowledge to keep up with the development trend of the times, practice digital citizenship skills, thereby improving our professional and technical capacity to meet the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program.
In order for the 2018 General Education Program to truly go into depth and achieve high efficiency, the role of the core team of teachers is extremely important. They are not only the ones who directly impart knowledge but also the "nucleus" that spreads the spirit of innovation, supporting colleagues to develop together. After participating in provincial-level training, comrades who are core teachers at primary, secondary and high schools will continue to train 100% of teachers at their work units, ensuring that 100% of teachers participating in teaching in the 2025-2026 school year are fully trained.
Through training, Lang Son education sector continues to affirm its determination to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program. The teaching staff of the whole province will continue to successfully complete their mission in the 2025-2026 school year, meeting the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training in the digital transformation period, contributing to the overall development of the education sector.
