Raising community awareness in family work

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once taught: “The nucleus of society is the family. It is because we want to build socialism that we must pay attention to the nucleus.” Imbued with this teaching, Thai Nguyen province always considers family work an important task to build a stable, progressive, and civilized society, exactly as the goal that our Party and State always aim for.

On weekends, family members gather together to create more bonds.

From the emphasis on the quality of family work, a happy society has gradually become a reality in Thai Nguyen province. This is demonstrated by the results of the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life". The number of households achieving cultural families each year is always higher than the previous year. If in 2021, the whole province had more than 303,000 households, then by 2024, there will be more than 318,000 households recognized as cultural families, an increase of more than 15,000 households.

Acknowledging that over the years, all levels and sectors of the province have actively promoted propaganda activities on family work, focusing on propaganda on the important role of family in society; building happy families; preventing domestic violence; preserving and promoting good cultural traditions of the family; building a civilized lifestyle and implementing well the policies and laws of the State, thereby raising people's awareness of the importance of building happy families.

As the Standing Agency of the Family Work Steering Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism regularly maintains and connects with relevant levels and sectors, enhancing coordination activities in deploying and implementing the policies of the Party and State on family work.

Through that, the province mobilizes and gathers people from all walks of life to participate in implementing a civilized lifestyle, building happy families, and actively participating in patriotic emulation movements. At the same time, it encourages each person to participate in preserving, transmitting, and promoting the fine traditions of the family and clan. Thereby further raising the awareness of sectors, levels and the whole society about the position and role of family work in the cause of national development.

To become good citizens, students need coordination between family, school and society.

Like other localities across the country, the National Action Month on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control and Vietnamese Family Day in 2025, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Family Work Steering Committee guides agencies, units, and people to focus on implementing the theme: "Happy Family - Prosperous Nation".

During the Action Month, many meaningful activities were organized in localities such as: Meetings to talk about family work; the importance of family in society; organizing competitions, performances, and commending and rewarding typical cultural families. These activities are considered effective and quality propaganda solutions, because people directly participate. In particular, through these activities, many families know how to remind each other to change their behavior, creating a harmonious and exciting atmosphere from "home to the street".

Every day, Nguyen Anh Tu, Pho Co ward (Song Cong city) always takes care of his grandmother's health.

The effectiveness of the Action Month, especially the Vietnamese Family Day (June 28), has created a source of positive energy for everyone in the community. It helps everyone to calmly look back at themselves to have a positive attitude, and more importantly, civilized behavior, knowing how to care for each other from family members. Grandparents and parents pay more attention to their lifestyle and behavior to set an example for their children and grandchildren. Siblings in the family and clan know how to give in to each other. Children and grandchildren have a polite attitude towards grandparents and parents. The care between family members is a way to create a solid "fortress" of happiness, strong enough to resist negative social phenomena.

In the era of information technology “explosion”, every family member needs to be alert, not dependent on electronic devices, knowing how to spend time together to share thoughts and feelings, creating a warm atmosphere after each working day, simply cooking dinner together, watching a TV show and telling each other what they did today. Because everyone knows that: “Having a place to return to, that is home. Having people to love, that is family. Having both, that is happiness”.
