Students from Hai Ba Trung Primary School (Son Tra ward) recently participated in an experiential learning activity at Son Tra Nature Reserve through an extracurricular class on "Conservation of the brown-footed langur and biodiversity".

During the experience, students learned about the Son Tra forest ecosystem, the role of nature conservation, and gained valuable knowledge about the brown-footed langur, a rare primate known as the "queen of primates" of the Son Tra peninsula. Through this project, the school hopes to spread awareness of nature protection and contribute to building a generation of students who live sustainably and are responsible towards the environment and the community.

After the hands-on experience, the students participated in group work and presentations on the conservation of rare wildlife and the protection of natural habitats. Many presentations demonstrated the students' observational skills, communication abilities, and positive spirit in spreading the message of nature conservation.

Ms. Nguyen Thi My Nga, Head of the Youth Union at Hai Ba Trung Primary School, shared that experiential activities not only provide students with useful knowledge beyond textbooks but also contribute to fostering a love for nature, raising awareness of environmental protection, and working together to conserve the precious ecosystem of Son Tra Peninsula.

Armed with the knowledge they had learned at school about the natural environment of Son Tra and the brown-footed langur, the students were very excited to participate in the field trip. They had the opportunity to directly explore the forest ecosystem, learn about the lives of wild animals, and listen to meaningful stories from nature conservationists.

This experiential trip helps students better understand the value of nature, raise their awareness of environmental protection, and foster a greater love for their homeland. Stories about the conservation journey of the brown-footed langur also inspire them to develop a sense of environmental preservation from an early age.

Also stemming from a love of nature and a desire to spread the message of wildlife conservation, a group of Software Engineering students fromFPT University Da Nang carried out a community project with a keychain product featuring the image of the brown-footed langur.

The group sold 100 keychains and used all the funds raised to collaborate with the Green Viet Center to organize a forest experience trip for students of Nguyen Chi Thanh Secondary School (Son Tra Ward).
