Upgrading Thu Khoa Huan Street

The Provincial People's Council has issued a Resolution approving the investment policy for the project to upgrade Thu Khoa Huan Street from Ton Duc Thang Street to Ke Bridge, Phan Thiet City.

Thu Khoa Huan Street is one of the "backbone" routes in Phan Thiet city. Before Hung Vuong Street, Thu Khoa Huan Street had a very important task of "transporting" passengers from the city center to Mui Ne tourist area. This is a route connecting many other routes such as Ton Duc Thang, Le Hong Phong, Le Duan... Therefore, the traffic density on the route is very high, so it deteriorates faster than other routes. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, who has a house on Thu Khoa Huan Street, confided: "I see tourists walking on the route every day, but the sidewalks are damaged in many places, so I feel quite sad. Many tourists who came to Phan Thiet before saw the rows of Lagerstroemia trees along Thu Khoa Huan Street blooming with beautiful purple flowers, so when they returned to travel, they really liked to walk and enjoy the scenery on this route. Therefore, I hope the road will soon be repaired and upgraded to beautify the tourist city...

Mr. Do Minh Tri - Director of Phan Thiet City Construction Investment Project Management Board said: The Provincial People's Council has issued a Resolution Approving the investment policy to upgrade Thu Khoa Huan Street from Ton Duc Thang Street to Ke Bridge. The project will complete the synchronous infrastructure of the entire Thu Khoa Huan Street to meet the traffic needs of the people, connecting the center of Phan Thiet City with Mui Ne National Tourist Area, contributing to creating beauty and improving the urban environment of Phan Thiet City.

The project has a total route length of about 2,200 m, starting at the intersection with Ton Duc Thang Street, ending at Ke Bridge. The roadway width is 12 m, the sidewalk width on each side is 4 m, the roadbed width is 20 m. The road surface and sidewalk structure will be partially repaired and asphalt concrete will be laid on both sides of the road. The sidewalk will be paved with bricks, the curbs will be made of granite, with plans to bury the 22kV medium voltage power line in the future. The auxiliary items will invest in the rainwater drainage system, domestic wastewater drainage, undergrounding the low voltage power system, telecommunications, adding new fire protection water supply pillars, trees, lighting and other auxiliary items. The total investment of the project is about 97.2 billion VND, the investment capital is from the provincial budget in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 and transition to the period 2026 - 2030. The project implementation period is 4 years. The project implementation progress is from 2024 to 2025 and transition to the period 2026 - 2030...
