On April 30th – the fourth day of the holiday – eco- tourism areas such as My Khanh, Ong De, and Can Tho Eco Resort in Phong Dien district, Can Tho city, were packed with visitors.
According to a representative of the My Khanh eco-tourism area, this year's holiday season will feature not only smaller attractions like a circus, restaurants , and traditional houses, but also a recreation of a rural market with dozens of stalls selling traditional dishes.
"Despite the hot weather, the number of visitors is more than double that of a normal day. Because the holiday lasts five days, people have more time and choices," a representative of My Khanh tourist area said.

Similarly, at the Ong De tourist area, the motorbike and car parking lots are always full.
Ms. Phan Thi Hong Tuoi, a resident of Ninh Kieu district, who recently visited the area, recounted: "I thought fewer people would come out because of the hot weather, but it was incredibly crowded. Everyone was sweating profusely, but they were all happy and excited."
Speaking with a reporter from Giao Thong Newspaper, Mr. Vo Thanh Giup, Director of the Center for Trade Promotion, Tourism and Relic Management of Phong Dien District, said that the number of visitors to the district's eco-tourism areas during this holiday is estimated to be higher than during the Lunar New Year and 2-3 times higher than on normal days.
"Tourist areas have invested more and paid more attention to each product and service offered. In addition to existing tourism products, some areas also have special events for this holiday. That is one of the reasons to attract visitors," Mr. Giúp said.
Phong Dien District currently has 65 tourist attractions and historical and cultural relics. Of these, three have been recognized as typical tourist destinations at the Mekong Delta level by the Mekong Delta Tourism Association, and five have been recognized as typical tourist destinations at the city level by the Can Tho Tourism Association.
