The village communal house is a symbol of community, a cultural and religious institution, and the center of cultural activities of the whole village. In order to restore, preserve and promote the fine cultural traditions of the village, in the process of building a new rural area, Quang Chinh commune (Quang Xuong) has had a creative approach, which is to combine the village communal house with the village cultural house.
Chinh Da village communal house becomes a regular place for people's activities.
The Party cell meeting in Chinh Da village in the first days of the year took place in a lively atmosphere, with party members actively contributing many enthusiastic ideas to build the village more and more prosperous. However, unlike many localities, this meeting took place at the village communal house. Mr. Pham Ngoc Ha, Secretary of the Chinh Da village Party cell, said: “Not only is the Party cell meeting held regularly on the 3rd of every month, but any big or small event of the village is also held at the communal house. In recent years, the villagers have combined the communal house with the cultural house as “2 in 1” and since the communal house was invested in and built, people have been able to participate in many community cultural activities, attend meetings more often, and the village and neighborhood relationship has become increasingly close and united.”
According to the elders in the village, Chinh Da communal house has a history of over 600 years, bearing the imprint of the efforts of the ancestors to develop and build. However, through the nature and the ups and downs of history, the communal house and communal house were completely damaged. In order to preserve and promote the cultural identity of the homeland, during the process of building the new rural areas, when the people wanted to rebuild the communal house, the commune directed the villages to combine the construction of the communal house with the cultural house, which is easy to mobilize the people and children living far from home, while ensuring the spiritual cultural space of the community.
Therefore, with the joint efforts, voluntary dedication and contributions of individuals and clans, after 2 years of construction, by 2022, Chinh Da communal house has been completed on a spacious scale with a total cost of over 3 billion VND, of which the commune supported 600 million VND. Currently, the communal house grounds are built spaciously and spaciously with full essential equipment for reading activities as well as cultural and artistic activities, meeting the spiritual life of the people.
That is also an effective way in Phu Luong village. Phu Luong village head Le Dinh Lien said: After the ups and downs of history, the village communal house was completely damaged. With financial support from superiors, along with contributions from local people and children living far from home, on January 30, 2016, Phu Luong village communal house was completed and put into use to serve the activities of the people in the village. This is a project of great significance to the cultural and spiritual life of the people. A project that many generations of leaders and people of Phu Luong village have wished for, has now become a reality.
In the conversation with us, Mr. Lien as well as many villagers affirmed that since the communal house was invested in and built to be spacious and combined with the village cultural house, it has become a familiar place for the villagers. All meetings of the Party cell, the village, organizations, and community cultural activities take place at the communal house. In the cozy, solemn, and sacred space of the communal house, the villagers all raise their awareness, comply with the rules and regulations, and actively participate in contributing ideas to build the village and hamlet to be more and more innovative.
Quang Chinh is one of the pioneer communes in linking the construction of communal houses with village cultural houses in Quang Xuong district. Up to now, 3/6 villages of the commune have built spacious communal houses with a budget of billions of VND, mainly from socialized capital. In addition to places of worship, communal houses all have spacious grounds, meeting places fully equipped with cultural institutions such as: speakers, amplifiers, TV receivers, tables and chairs... to serve people in meetings and community cultural activities, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people.
“Over the years, the model of combining the communal house with the village cultural house has mobilized the strength of the community and the consensus of the people. Whenever there is a meeting or any event, the villagers always attend in full numbers. Thereby, the people's strength has been mobilized to take care of the people's lives, not only in cultural infrastructure projects, but also creating a lever for the locality to complete the criteria, striving to achieve the status of an advanced new-style rural commune in 2024" - Mr. Hoang Trong Hanh, Secretary of the Quang Chinh Commune Party Committee affirmed.
