Newcastle are unforgiving towards Isak

On the morning of August 20, Newcastle United confirmed that they would not sell Alexander Isak after the striker publicly criticized his club on social media.

Newcastle have repeatedly stressed that Isak is not for sale.

In a statement, the North East English team confirmed that the Swedish striker is still under contract and has never made any commitment to allow him to leave this summer.

"We want to keep our best players, and we understand that they have their own wishes. However, every decision must be based on the best interests of the club, the team and the fans. The conditions for considering a transfer this summer have not appeared, and we do not see the possibility of that happening," Newcastle stressed.

The club also sent a reassuring message: "Newcastle is a proud club with a long tradition, always maintaining a family spirit. Isak remains part of this family and will be welcomed back when he is ready to train with his teammates."

"When promises are broken and trust is lost, the relationship cannot continue. Change is necessary, for everyone's sake, not just mine," Isak wrote earlier.

Liverpool once made a £110 million offer for Isak but Newcastle flatly rejected it. "The Kop" still believes Newcastle will make concessions if they receive the full £130 million, the transfer record in England.

Things will get more dramatic when Newcastle host Liverpool at St James' Park this weekend, with Isak's future in the spotlight.
