On May 28, the Federal Agency for Military- Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia announced that, within the framework of the first International Security Forum, the two sides are jointly promoting several projects related to the development and production of aviation equipment, including the Su-75 Checkmate aircraft.
“Work is currently being carried out with Belarusian partners on various projects related to the development and production of aviation equipment, including the Su-75,” FSMTC told RIA Novosti.
The agency also emphasized that the Su-75 project is not a replacement for the Su-57E. The two aircraft belong to different segments and are designed to perform distinct missions.
On February 6th, Alexander Mikheev, head of the state-owned defense company Rosoboronexport, stated that Russia will begin supplying Su-57 fighter jets to partners in 2026, and expects to sign further contracts related to this aircraft.
The statement was made ahead of the 3rd World Defence Exhibition 2026, which will take place from February 8-12 in Riyadh.
On January 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russian-made military equipment for export had been tested in combat. He emphasized that in the past year, the country had received a "significant new list of export orders" and supplied weapons to more than 30 militaries around the world.
