Banks support debt restructuring, real estate stocks increase in price

In today's stock trading session, the VN-Index increased by 0.2 points to 1,049 points.

At the opening of trading, investors were afraid of risks when the market entered the securities maturity period. Therefore, most investors bought and sold cautiously, with very little trading volume, causing the general indexes to increase and decrease by a few points in many consecutive hours.

However, near the end of the session, when the State Bank announced a new draft circular on debt restructuring, allowing commercial banks to consider extending businesses' debt repayment periods by no more than 12 months, the market reacted positively.

Accordingly, increased demand helped many stock groups move to an upward trend. In the real estate stock group, there was an increase of 0.13% with 18 stocks remaining unchanged, 20 stocks decreasing and 36 stocks increasing.

Notably, NRC increased by 10%, NDN increased by 9.6%, MH3 increased by 14.8%, NVT increased by 4.5%, HQC increased by 1.7%, DIG increased by 0.9%, NLG increased by 1.5%... Only the two "senior" codes, NVL ( Novaland stock) and PDR (Phat Dat housing stock), hit the floor. However, due to dozens of other codes increasing quite strongly, NVL and PDR did not significantly limit the increase in real estate stocks.

The rise of this group of stocks, along with the increase of hundreds of other stocks, helped the general indexes increase and only slightly decrease.

As a result, the VN-Index increased by 0.2 points to 1,049 points; the HNX-Index closed at 206 points, down 0.7 points; in contrast, the UpCoM-Index decreased by 0.2 points to 77.8 points.

Commenting on today's stock trading session, Thanh Cong Securities Company (TCSC) said that with the derivatives maturity session, investors are often cautious about risks, so the cash flow into stocks is very modest. However, the market is likely to be highly differentiated when many enterprises publicly report their financial results for the first quarter of 2023. Investors can balance their stock and cash portfolios to seek profit opportunities and avoid risks.
