(NLDO) – World gold prices plummeted by tens of USD/ounce, converted at the listed exchange rate to just over 105.3 million VND/tael.

At the end of June 24, the price of SJC gold bars was adjusted down by SJC, PNJ, DOJI , and Bao Tin Minh Chau companies to 117.5 million VND/tael for buying and 119.5 million VND/tael for selling, down 200,000 VND compared to the morning. The price of gold bars decreased after many consecutive days of stagnation.

Similarly, the price of 99.99% gold rings and jewelry gold also dropped to 113.5 million VND/tael for buying and 116 million VND/tael for selling, down 200,000 VND/tael compared to the morning.

After 3 days of stability, domestic gold prices have decreased, but the rate of decrease is small compared to the sharp decline of world prices. In the international market, today's gold price dropped sharply to 3,318 USD/ounce, losing about 30 USD/ounce compared to the morning and a total drop of 50 USD/ounce compared to yesterday.

World gold prices fell sharply this afternoon

Since the weekend, precious metals on the international market have lost about 80 USD/ounce (equivalent to about 2.5 million VND/tael). The world gold price has plummeted as investors dumped gold, which is no longer a safe haven, after the conflict between Israel and Iran eased. The Israeli government said on June 24 that it had agreed to US President Donald Trump's ceasefire proposal after "achieving the objectives" in its attacks on Iran.

According to Sky News, Israel confirmed that the "immediate existential threat" from Iran's nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles has been eliminated. Earlier, in a message posted on social media, Mr. Donald Trump said that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran was in effect and called on all sides not to violate it.

Gold prices are falling rapidly and analysts say the decline will not stop, as concerns about conflict tensions in the Middle East have eased.

The world gold price plummeted, while the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings only decreased slightly, causing the gap between domestic and foreign gold prices to widen. Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 105.3 million VND/tael, lower than SJC gold bars by over 14 million VND/tael, widening compared to the level of 12-13 million VND a few days ago.
