The General Department of Taxation has just issued an official dispatch on the implementation of the "Business Household Digital Map" function applied throughout the Tax sector, aiming to improve the effectiveness of publicizing business household information according to the provisions of the Law on Tax Administration.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh - Director of the Department of Tax Management for Small and Medium Enterprises, Business Households and Individuals (General Department of Taxation), the implementation roadmap of the "Business Household Digital Map" will be divided into 2 phases.
Phase 1 from August 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023 will be implemented at 5 Tax Departments, including: Hanoi, Binh Dinh, Long An, Thanh Hoa, Hoa Binh.

Next, from February 1, 2024, the General Department of Taxation will implement phase 2 for the remaining 58 tax departments. From March 1, 2024, it will continue to respond to information lookups and feedback from business households, citizens, enterprises, state management agencies and other organizations.
According to Ms. Lan Anh, the “Business Household Digital Map” is a collection of information that has been encoded and stored in digital form. The information displayed on the “Business Household Digital Map” function is information that must be made public for business households according to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 18, Clause 3, Article 51 of the Tax Administration Law No. 38/2019/QH14 and Article 13 of Circular No. 40/2021/TT-BTC of the Minister of Finance.
Along with that, this function is deployed on the eTax Mobile application to facilitate business households, people, enterprises, state management agencies and other organizations to look up and respond to information on handheld smart devices anytime, anywhere.
The "Business Household Digital Map" is installed, managed and operated centrally at the General Department of Taxation. The information displayed on the business household digital map function is automatically, regularly and continuously updated from information approved by the tax authority and publicly posted on the Tax Department's website according to the tax management process for business households issued with Decision No. 2371/QD-TCT dated December 18, 2015 of the General Department of Taxation.
To successfully deploy the "Business Household Number Map" function, the General Department of Taxation has requested tax departments of provinces and cities to direct tax branches to assign inter-commune and ward tax teams to look up, review and correct incorrect information displayed on the "Business Household Number Map" function for subjects under their management responsibility in the area.
