Due to the impact of storm No. 11 (storm MATMO) causing prolonged heavy rain, many relics, cultural and sports works and key tourist attractions in the province were deeply flooded, eroded and severely damaged.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , the total damage is estimated at about 320 million VND, of which the most serious is the Tran Hung Dao National Special Forest Relic Site with many new landslides, the central yard has sunk deeply, the embankment has eroded about 15m, estimated damage is 300 million VND.
At Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area, rising water flooded fields, roads leading to the tourist area and damaged many landscape items, signs, and flower pots, with total damage of about 20 million VND.
In addition, the Stadium of the Sports and Arts Training and Competition Center continued to be flooded to a depth of 1.5 - 2m, causing serious damage to the surrounding wall system, field surface, equipment warehouse and electrical and lighting equipment. Some items showed signs of subsidence and cracking, posing a potential safety risk.
Other units such as the Provincial Museum, Cao Bang Non Nuoc Geopark Management Board, and Pac Bo Relic Site were all slightly affected, but thanks to proactive response, assets and artifacts remained safe.
Currently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed its affiliated units to deploy emergency remediation plans, clear mud and soil, handle landslides, inspect construction structures, and continue to maintain a response regime, protect relics and ensure safety for tourists at key tourist areas and spots.
