Youth Festival of Industrial Parks and Export Processing Zones in Hai Phong

On the evening of May 25, at VSIP Industrial Park, Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong , the Vietnam Youth Union organized a music night in a series of activities for the 2024 Youth Festival in industrial parks and export processing zones with the theme "Young workers - Spreading positive energy".

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, Head of the Central Youth Union's Youth Solidarity Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Central Vietnam Youth Union affirmed that the workforce is a direct production force, growing strongly in quantity, constantly improving in quality, and diversifying in structure. Currently, the total number of workers in Vietnam is about 17 million people, present in all economic sectors, industries, occupations, production, business and service fields. Among them, the workforce in Hai Phong city plays an important role in contributing to economic and social development.

In recent years, our Party and State have had many policies to support workers in general and young workers in particular in many aspects, aiming to help workers stabilize their lives, continue to participate, and become an important "link" in the economic apparatus of Vietnam . To concretize the policies of the Party and State, in recent times, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels have had many activities to care for and accompany young people in industrial parks and export processing zones to improve their lives, culture, and spirit, while creating a healthy, useful playground and physical training for young people, expanding the front of solidarity to gather young people, establishing the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union in industrial parks and export processing zones.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy affirmed that 2024 is an important milestone for the youth of the whole country, the year of the Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels towards the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024 - 2029. In that atmosphere, the series of Youth Workers' Festivals is not only an annual activity to care for and accompany young workers, but also one of the series of key activities to respond to the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign and welcome the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024 - 2029.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 2024 Youth Workers' Festival with the theme "Young Workers - Spreading Positive Energy" will take place in 6 regions: Da Nang, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang and Hai Phong. The festival held at VSIP Industrial Park, Hai Phong concludes the series of activities of this year's Youth Workers' Festival. The festival held in localities has received the participation of over 50,000 young workers, members, and young people in localities with meaningful and practical activities such as: medical examination, health consultation, and free medicine distribution for over 10,000 young workers. Along with that are other activities such as organizing 100 discount booths, "0 VND" booths with essential goods and necessities for young workers; Organizing the Red Bull Cup Youth Workers' Football Tournament with the participation of 48 teams from 48 enterprises. In addition, the festival in the areas also held a Music Night with the participation of famous singers and artists and a lucky draw with many valuable and meaningful prizes awarded to young workers.
