The content of the questions has close topics, good materials, helping students connect with the beauty of nature and the surrounding life. Reading comprehension questions closely follow the genre characteristics and basic knowledge in the 2018 General Education Program, supporting students to apply knowledge and skills well. The questions are open-ended and classified, helping students express their personal opinions, as well as their ability to argue and persuade.

The Math exam was also rated at a moderate level, and there were some difficult questions to classify candidates. The exam consisted of 7 questions, including basic types such as: Calculating the value of expressions, solving inequalities, drawing function graphs, practical problems related to probability, problems related to geometry... Truong Thien An, a student at Vo Thi Sau Secondary School (Nha Trang City), taking the exam at Pham Van Dong High School, said: "I found the exam at a basic level, normal students can get 7 or 8 points. In addition, question 6c related to geometry was quite difficult. I think I got about 8 or 9 points." Le My Quyen, a student at Bui Thi Xuan Secondary School (Nha Trang City), who also took the exam for Pham Van Dong High School, said: "I think it is not difficult to get 8 points in Math, in which the easiest points are questions 1 to 5. However, for me, question 6c on geometry and question 7 are relatively difficult, reserved for excellent students to get full points."

Mr. Vo Hoan Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training said that the 2025 - 2026 school year is the first year of implementing the entrance exam for grade 10 according to the 2018 General Education Program. Therefore, the Department has issued the exam structure, introduced reference questions, and defined the scope of knowledge closely following the new program for candidates to review and prepare for the exam. During the exam, the Department of Education and Training mobilized more than 1,700 cadres, teachers, employees, and security forces to participate in the tasks at 28 exam councils, including more than 1,200 invigilators mobilized from units under the Department and secondary schools. The organization of the exam on the first day was carried out in accordance with regulations and safely. The Department continues to instill a sense of responsibility in each officer participating in the exam, ensuring close and serious supervision, while creating the most favorable conditions for candidates throughout the exam.
The first exam session had 10,925 candidates out of a total of 11,005 candidates registered (80 candidates were absent); there were no violations of exam regulations. This morning (June 4), candidates continued to take the English exam in the form of multiple choice and essay questions, with a time limit of 60 minutes. In the afternoon of the same day, candidates taking the exam for Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted took the specialized exam with a time limit of 150 minutes.
