Attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Quach Thi Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center and more than 30 children selected from communes and wards in the province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, musician Tran Quoc Chung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center emphasized: Vi and Giam are specialties of Nghe An, have a long-lasting vitality, are precious heritages in the cultural treasure of the Vietnamese people, recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. To preserve and promote the values of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk song heritage, for the past 4 years, Nghe An province has opened Vi and Giam folk song classes for gifted students in primary and secondary schools in the area.

Organizing classes to teach folk singing talent, aiming to guide and teach talented high school students to grasp basic melodies; searching, orienting training, nurturing talents to create a source of actors for professional art units and the core of art for local movements.
In 12 days, the course will introduce and teach students to understand the characteristics and properties of Vi melodies; practice Vi and Giam melodies; practice Ho melodies; modified melodies...

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Quach Thi Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: 30 students participating in today's teaching class were selected from 130 communes and wards in the province. These are students who are truly passionate and talented, hopefully through this training course they will spread more folk songs to all directions.

At the opening ceremony, comrade Quach Thi Cuong also asked the artists to use their knowledge and experience to convey many methods so that the students can best absorb practical skills. Hopefully, through this training session, many faces here will become talented singers of Vi and Giam folk songs in the future.
