Nghe An: Highlights on December 27

* On the morning of December 27, in Linh Son commune, Anh Son district ( Nghe An ), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province and Nghe An province held a ceremony to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the birth of comrade Phan Thai At (January 1, 1894 - January 1, 2024) - former member of the Central Region Party Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee in 1931.

* On the morning of December 27, in Hanoi, the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union , term 2023 - 2028, held its closing session. 111 outstanding comrades representing more than 10 million farmer members were elected to the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term VIII. Comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Union was elected to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union for the term 2023 - 2028 with an absolute number of votes.

* After two preliminary and final rounds, the Organizing Committee of the 2023 Nghe An Province Tourism Logo and Slogan Creation Contest has selected four works to award prizes. The work "Nghe An Tourism - Discover - Experience - Enjoy" by author Nguyen Phuoc Duc (Ho Chi Minh City) was awarded First Prize.

* In 2023, the highest-paying unit belongs to the foreign-invested enterprise sector in Nghe An with 95 million VND/person/month. Meanwhile, the lowest salary is 3,250 million VND/person/month.

* In recent days, the early off-season carrot plantations in Quynh Lien vegetable farm, Hoang Mai town have begun to yield harvest. This year, although productivity was affected by the flood, quality and price remain stable, bringing in large income for farmers.

* Nghe An is experiencing long periods of severe cold. The sharp drop in temperature has caused the demand for warm clothing such as socks, hats, winter clothes, etc. to increase rapidly. Prices of many items are pushed higher than at the beginning of the season.
