This is one of the performances of the CAND Music and Dance Theater at the Cultural Festival "Vietnam - Colors from the Tropics" - an event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTTDL), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Vietnam in the Russian Federation in coordination with the Moscow City government to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.


Through the performances, in the program, the artists of the CAND Music and Dance Theater introduced to the audience the special beauty of the country, people and culture of Vietnam, from the majestic mountains and forests to the poetic plains. With the language of music , with the sounds of traditional instruments such as the T'rung, the Bau, the bamboo flute, the Vietnamese Klong-put; lullabies, melodies and many famous songs, the artists "told stories" about their country with all their hearts, warm feelings and the hospitality of the Oriental people.
Sharing about the program, Lieutenant Colonel, Meritorious Artist Ut Lan, Director of the CAND Music and Dance Theater, said that during the festival (from July 25 to August 3), the theater's artists will perform every day for the audience. In addition, the theater's artists will also perform for the audience in a number of other cultural diplomacy programs of Vietnam in the cultural capital of Russia - Saint Petersburg.
More than 20 performances have been prepared by the theater’s artists for many months to be brought to Russia to perform for the audience. Among them are performances introducing famous works praising the Party and beloved Uncle Ho such as “Looking at the tree, remembering the person” by musician Do Nhuan; “Singing in the Pac-bo forest” by musician Nguyen Tai Tue.
Many famous Russian musical works were also performed by artists on this occasion: Nomadic Love Song, Kalinka, Kachiusa, Moscow Afternoon, Lively Youth. In particular, traditional instrumental performances and folk music works are indispensable in the performances of the CAND Music and Dance Theater at the festival.




According to the Director of the CAND Music and Dance Theater, any Vietnamese artist would be proud and moved to perform on stage at Red Square in the middle of Moscow - a place that has become a symbol of Russia. The organizing committee's arrangement of the "Vietnam - Colors from the Tropics" Festival and Vietnamese art performances here shows the respect of the host country for Vietnamese culture, and the desire to bring Vietnamese culture closer to the Russian people.
The series of events of the festival, including performances by artists of the CAND Music and Dance Theater, will be a bridge connecting the Vietnamese community in Russia with the Fatherland; contributing to arousing the spirit of national pride, civic responsibility and adding strength for the Vietnamese community to study, do business, live healthily and reap success in a foreign land.
