Sharing the reason for choosing the release date, Le Thanh Phong said that National Day is a big festival, a time when the spirit and pride spreads among every citizen. For artists, this is also an opportunity to demonstrate the role of a "soldier" on the cultural and ideological front. While many colleagues chose to introduce new songs, he decided to turn to poetry, considering it a way to return to the spiritual source that is closely connected to the nation.

The four works he chose to make the MV include “Country” (Nguyen Dinh Thi), “Uncle Ho” (To Huu), “Wind and Love Blowing on My Country” (Luu Quang Vu) and “Fatherland” (Nguyen The Ky). These are all typical poems of revolutionary poetry, not only reflecting historical reality and the desire for independence and freedom, but also encouraging the fighting spirit of the whole nation. For Le Thanh Phong, those verses also evoke childhood memories through the narration and recitation of his grandmother, mother and through the recitation of artists from Voice of Vietnam , becoming a part of cultural memories that nurtures his love for art.

Le Thanh Phong hopes that reciting these works will not only arouse deep emotions in listeners, but also connect today's generation with the journey of building and defending the country of our ancestors.

In a context where singing is more popular than reciting poetry, the young artist hopes the project will help audiences, especially young people, pay more attention to this type of performance.

To renew familiar works, he spent time referring to classic recitations by People's Artist Chau Loan and veteran artists, and at the same time found his own way through the Nghe An region's Vi and Giam voices. He believes that innovation lies not in breaking the rules but in the emotions, in the mindset of a young person who grew up in peace , reciting poetry with national pride and the spirit of the new era.

During the performance, the song “Bac oi” brought him the most emotions. The MV was filmed in the stilt house and fish pond in the Presidential Palace – a space associated with Uncle Ho. “When I set foot in this space, my tears kept falling. It’s hard to describe in words, I felt like I was in the old Uncle Ho’s world to recite poems to bid him farewell,” the artist said emotionally.

Le Thanh Phong said that when he first had the idea of making a series of poetry recitation MVs, he contacted composer - journalist Mai Van Lang, Head of the Folk and Traditional Music Department of VOV3, Voice of Vietnam, to ask for advice and further comments.

He also received guidance from People's Artist Van Chuong - a famous reciter of the Voice of Vietnam - in handling the language of reciting northern poetry, in addition to his Nghe Tinh accent, which is his strength. He also collaborated with a national orchestra consisting of many artists who have worked with him through radio programs such as Le Hang, Viet Hang, Tuan Dung, etc. Thanks to that, the works have more depth, rich sound and are handled flexibly according to each tone.

The MV was directed by Anh Quan, choosing the setting as places associated with the history and life of Hanoi such as Hoan Kiem Lake, Turtle Tower, Uncle Ho's Mausoleum... The crew aimed for a natural, intimate atmosphere, allowing the artists to blend in with the crowd on a big holiday, incorporating meetings and conversations with veterans or locals.

“I just walked out into the street, blending in with the crowd celebrating National Day. The director filmed the scenes in the most natural way possible and put them into the MV to avoid stiffness, so that everyone could feel the closeness, like children reciting poems to their grandparents, like friends reciting poems to each other during these days,” Le Thanh Phong shared.

Along with releasing the full MV, Le Thanh Phong also focuses on digital platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, TikTok... Short recitations are selected and widely shared for easy access by the audience, suitable for the fast enjoyment habits of the young audience.

Not stopping at this series of MVs, Le Thanh Phong expressed his desire to continue expanding the project with many other works, and at the same time try to combine traditional and contemporary art forms. For him, reciting poetry is not only a way to express personal feelings, but also a journey for Vietnamese poetry to continue to accompany the history and soul of the nation in today's context.

Le Thanh Phong was born in 1992 in Vinh City, Nghe An. He is a Master, Head of the UNESCO Folk Songs of Nghe An Art Delegation in Hanoi, Editor of the Folk Songs and Traditional Music Program VOV3 - Voice of Vietnam. He was awarded the Outstanding Actor Award at the World Folk Music Festival of Uzbekistan 2017; Certificate of Merit at the Folk Music Festival by Yunnan International Television - China in 2019; Certificates of Merit for the cause of preserving and promoting national cultural heritage awarded by the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association; awards from the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2024...
