Actor Cuong Pham passed away on May 15, at the age of 31, after a period of treatment at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Cuong Pham was a beloved lottery artist.

According to information from his family, actor Cuong Pham (nicknamed Co Ba Cuong Pham), full name Pham Quoc Cuong, was born in 1994, hometown Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City.

On his personal Facebook, Cuong Pham introduces himself as a makeup artist, freelance actor and leader of the Ben Xua Lottery Troupe.

Cuong Pham passed away at 2am on May 15 after a period of fighting a serious illness, at the age of 31.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Phong - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City HIV/AIDS Prevention Association, an acquaintance of Cuong Pham - said the cause of Cuong Pham's death was meningitis.

Due to difficult circumstances, during his treatment, Cuong Pham received support from many colleagues and audiences.

In particular, Ms. Lo Lo - head of the Saigon Tan Thoi Lottery Group - sent 25 million VND from the Saigon Tan Thoi Lottery Group and the audience to support Cuong Pham's treatment.

Following the news of actor Cuong Pham's sudden passing, many artists expressed their condolences on their personal pages.

Actor Huyy Pham - Cuong Pham's colleague - shared on Facebook: "Saying goodbye to my younger brother and a friend in the profession. In that place, I am sure that my physical pain has gone, but the pain of the mother who was left behind had to endure the loss of her child due to a serious illness and had to work hard to pay off her debt after the funeral ended because she had to take care of Cuong when he was sick and take care of my younger brother's funeral."

Artist Ngoc Huyen wrote: "Cuong Pham has truly passed away. Because Cuong did not have insurance, he was hospitalized for over a month, now his family owes a lot... I feel even more sorry for the person left behind. Friends and colleagues, please share with Cuong Pham."

Cuong Pham is known to the audience through the contest Promising Stage and Cinema Faces 2016, the MV "Nhat vo nhi troi" with artists Vo Minh Lam, Ngoc Huyen and some roles in short films.
