53 buses added on 33 routes
The Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center has just announced a plan to organize public passenger transport services during the National Day holiday on September 2 (from August 31 to September 3).
Accordingly, this unit forecasts that on the first and last days of the holiday, passenger traffic will increase by about 25 - 30% compared to normal days. During the holidays, passenger traffic remains stable.
To meet the travel needs of passengers, during the National Day holiday, buses will operate according to the regular schedule, with a frequency of 7 - 20 minutes/trip.
Of which, on August 31, September 2 and September 3, the station opens at 4:45 a.m. and closes at 10:30 p.m. with 17,945 vehicles operating per day. On September 1, the station opens at 5 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. with 17,485 vehicles operating per day.
The Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway will operate according to the schedule on weekends, holidays and Tet. The station opens at 5:30 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. with 203 trains running per day, with a frequency of 10 minutes per trip.
The elevated section of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway will also follow the schedule for weekends, holidays and Tet. The station opens at 5:30 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. with 200 trains running per day, with a frequency of 10 minutes per trip.
In addition, the Hanoi City Traffic Management and Operation Center also developed a plan to increase 53 buses on 33 routes with a total of 104 trips, focusing on routes connecting to major bus stations such as My Dinh, Giap Bat, Gia Lam, Nuoc Ngam, Yen Nghia; Hanoi Railway Station; Noi Bai Airport; urban areas, etc.
How to get in and out of the city to avoid traffic jams?
In order to serve the travel needs of people during the National Day holiday on September 2, the Department of Transport has also announced traffic organization and diversion during this occasion.
Specifically, people from Hanoi to the southern provinces can go in the following directions:
From the center of Hanoi, go to Phap Van - Cau Gie intersection to Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway. Or from the center of Hanoi, go to the old National Highway 1: Giai Phong - Ngoc Hoi - National Highway 1 to Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway at Van Diem intersection; Dai Xuyen intersection (Phu Xuyen district).
From the center, follow National Highway 6 (Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu - Quang Trung axis) - Ba La intersection to National Highway 21B - National Highway 38 to get to the old National Highway 1 (Dong Van intersection) or go to Vuc Vong intersection to go to Phap Van - Cau Gie highway.
QL6 (Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu - Quang Trung axis) - turn left to Phung Hung street - go to the southern axis - turn left to provincial road 427B - go to Thuong Tin station to enter Phap Van - Cau Gie highway.
QL6 to Xuan Mai town - take Ho Chi Minh road - QL21B.
People from the Southern provinces going to Hanoi can go in the following directions:
At Liem Tuyen intersection on Phap Van - Cau Gie highway to provincial road 494 - QL21B - QL6 (Ba La intersection, Ha Dong).
At Vuc Vong intersection on Phap Van - Cau Gie highway, go in the following 2 directions: Turn left to go to QL38 - QL21B - QL6 (Ba La intersection, Ha Dong); turn right to go to QL38 - cross Yen Lenh bridge - QL39A - provincial road 379 - intersection with Ring Road 3 (Thanh Tri bridge).

Nhat Tan Bridge - Vo Nguyen Giap - National Highway 18 to Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway. Chuong Duong Bridge - Nguyen Van Cu - Ha Huy Tap - Ngo Gia Tu - Duong Bridge - to Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway.
People from Hanoi to the Northwestern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Yen Bai...) and vice versa can go in the following directions: Thang Long Bridge - Vo Van Kiet - National Highway 2 to Hanoi - Lao Cai highway.
