Welcoming the Korean Ambassador to Nhan Dan Newspaper, on behalf of the leaders, officers and staff of the Newspaper, comrade Le Quoc Minh expressed his joy to welcome and thank Ambassador Choi Young Sam and members of the delegation for visiting the editorial office.

He emphasized that the relationship between Vietnam and Korea is becoming increasingly close and tight, in which Korea is always among the top investors in Vietnam.

Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh also expressed his complete agreement to strengthen Vietnam-Korea relations in all fields, especially press cooperation, in which the relationship between Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Korean Embassy has recently been evaluated as effective.

Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh also emphasized that over the years, Nhan Dan Newspaper has contributed to promoting Vietnam-Korea cooperation by focusing on reflecting diverse information in the Newspaper's publications about the increasingly strong activities of Korean businesses and communities in Vietnam.

He added that Korean culture is well received in Vietnam, especially among young people, while Korean products are also popular with Vietnamese consumers. The number of Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Korea is increasing, creating a foundation for increasingly close cooperation between the two sides.

“With the leadership of leaders at all levels of the two countries, as well as the growing interest of people and businesses on both sides, the relationship between the two countries will be increasingly tightened, in which the press and media will play an increasingly important role,” Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh expressed his confidence.

Regarding international cooperation, he said that Nhan Dan Newspaper has cooperative relationships with many foreign partners, including Korean partners. Accordingly, in the past 2 years, Nhan Dan Newspaper has cooperated with the Academy of Journalism and Communication to organize 2 journalism seminars with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), welcoming experts from Korea to share experiences.

As Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Comrade Le Quoc Minh affirmed that he will continue to promote exchanges and cooperation between Vietnamese press agencies, including Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Korean news agencies and newspapers, and expressed his hope that Ambassador Choi Young Sam and the Korean Embassy will support this relationship to be expanded and deepened.

“The experience and development process of Korean press agencies will bring many useful lessons to Vietnamese press agencies. In the coming time, we hope that through the connection of the Korean Embassy, there will be more Korean press and technology experts coming to Vietnam to exchange experiences, or organize visits for Vietnamese press reporters to Korea to visit and learn,” Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh emphasized.

Ambassador Choi Young Sam affirmed that the development of Vietnam-Korea relations in recent times has had significant contributions from Vietnamese press agencies, especially the role of Nhan Dan Newspaper in orienting the relationship between the two countries.

The Korean Ambassador expressed his hope that in the coming time, the newspaper will continue to play a pioneering role in advising the Party and Government to further develop the Vietnam-Korea relationship.

On this occasion, Ambassador Choi Young Sam also made recommendations, hoping that Nhan Dan Newspaper would play a bridging role to further strengthen cooperation between Korean media agencies and relevant agencies of the two sides.

“In the past, Nhan Dan Newspaper has had a cooperative relationship with Korean press agencies. We hope that the Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper will soon visit Korea to renew the relationship between the Newspaper and Korean media agencies. The Korean Embassy is ready to cooperate with the Newspaper to organize a successful visit,” Ambassador Choi Young Sam expressed.

Ambassador Choi Young Sam said that the two countries have had many exchanges and initiatives on establishing a mechanism for exchanging Vietnamese and Korean journalists. The Korean Embassy will pay attention to researching and proposing to relevant Korean agencies to promote this mechanism.
