According to Xiaoxiang Morning News , a unique check-in spot on a steep cliff at Mangshan Wuzhifeng tourist area (Hunan, China) is attracting attention. This tourist area has just launched the adventurous activity of “sleeping on the cliff”. The bed is placed precariously on the cliff at an altitude of 1,600m as part of a new mountain climbing project.

During a livestream with nearly 7,000 viewers, Mang Son Ngu Chi Phong management introduced this activity. The image of an employee sitting on a bed, wearing a safety harness next to a vertical cliff made many viewers wonder about the safety.

According to the resort staff, the “sleeping on the cliff” activity will be put into operation from April 2025, as part of the “via ferrata” climbing experience package priced at 98 yuan (about 320,000 VND). Participants will be asked to provide information about their weight, age, medical history and will always be equipped with a safety rope during the experience.

This employee also confirmed that the camera angle in the livestream video made the activity look more dangerous than it actually was, and that the safety of tourists is always a top priority.
