On the evening of May 27th, Israelis continued to take to the streets of Tel Aviv in the 21st consecutive week of protests against the government's judicial reform plan, just days after the Israeli parliament approved the state budget.

Protesters also marched in other major Israeli cities, Haifa and Beersheba, as well as in dozens of locations across the country. According to local media, tens of thousands of people participated in the protest in Tel Aviv.
In March, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a "temporary pause" in pushing through a controversial judicial reform proposal in Parliament, due to massive public protests.
However, the dialogue between political parties in Israel on this issue has yet to yield a breakthrough. On May 24th, when the Israeli Knesset approved the state budget, Prime Minister Netanyahu pledged to "continue efforts to achieve broad awareness on the issue of judicial reform."
