On May 5, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said it had directed districts to strengthen compliance with legal regulations in drug trading activities, ensuring adequate supply of quality drugs for people.

The Department of Health requests the district health department, Thu Duc City to strengthen inspection, examination and supervision of drug trading establishments in the area, especially drug retail establishments, to detect and prevent drug trading at places other than the business location stated on the certificate of eligibility for drug trading.

In particular, focus on checking the origin of drugs, drug purchase documents, and connecting data to the National Pharmaceutical Database System. Check the purchase and sale of prescription drugs and drugs subject to special control.

Strengthen inspection of the quality and origin of drugs purchased and used at traditional medicine clinics. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health requires strict handling of violations (if any).

On the other hand, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also requested that localities need to inform and disseminate legal regulations on the pharmaceutical sector to pharmaceutical businesses in the area.
