How to go see the September 2nd parade and march?
Train – Fast choice, direct connection
Currently, Hanoi has two urban railway lines in operation, both convenient for traveling to the areas where parades and marches pass through:
Cat Linh – Ha Dong Line: Starting from Yen Nghia station, suitable for people in old districts such as Chuong My, My Duc, Quoc Oai, and Ha Dong and Thanh Xuan districts. People in neighboring provinces such as Phu Tho and Hoa Binh can also move to Yen Nghia station, park their vehicles and take the train straight to Cat Linh station – which is just a few steps away from Nguyen Thai Hoc – Kim Ma street, the main axis of the parade.
Nhon – Hanoi Railway Station Line (currently in operation to Thu Le Park): Convenient for people in old districts such as Ba Vi, Phuc Tho, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, and Nam – Bac Tu Liem districts. Nhon station area has a large-scale parking lot, supporting people to park their personal vehicles. This line ends at Thu Le Park, right at the beginning of Kim Ma Street – a location near the parade area.
With the advantage of spacious parking lots at both the first and last stations, the train lines become the optimal means of transport for people from the suburbs and neighboring provinces to the center of Hanoi to attend the ceremony.
Bus – Various routes, direct to the center
In addition to the tram, many bus routes are also arranged to run through the central streets, convenient for getting to the parade area:
Route 09A: Hoan Kiem Lake – Dien Bien Phu – Kim Ma – Cau Giay – Nguyen Hoang Ton.
Route 22A: Gia Lam Bus Station – Long Bien – Tran Phu – Kim Ma.
Route E09: Smart City Urban Area – Thang Long Avenue – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Hoang Dieu – Quan Thanh – West Lake.
Route 32: Giap Bat Bus Station – Le Duan – Tran Hung Dao – Kim Ma – Xuan Thuy – Nhon.
BRT route: Yen Nghia bus station – Le Trong Tan – Le Van Luong – Giang Vo – Kim Ma.
These routes all pass through or stop near Nguyen Thai Hoc - Kim Ma - Tran Phu - Hoang Dieu streets, where the parade takes place.
Be proactive with personal vehicles
In case of having to use personal vehicles, people need to find out in advance about parking spots near the center, and at the same time monitor traffic flow information to choose the appropriate route to avoid congestion.
With increasingly modern public transport infrastructure, trains and buses are the most convenient, safe and economical options for the capital's people to participate in important events in the solemn and proud atmosphere of National Day.
