Each trip adds love to homeland
Nguyen Thi Luyen, An Tuong ward, is not a person who has received formal training in tourism. Her job is almost unrelated to tourism. But Luyen and her husband have a passion for traveling. She boasts: If there were 63 provinces and cities before, we only have 3 provinces that we have not explored: Cao Bang, Bac Can and Hoa Binh . The rest of the S-shaped land, Luyen and her husband have had the opportunity to explore, many provinces and cities have been visited many times.
Before each trip , Luyen often explores review sites to learn about destinations, food, accommodations, etc. In the 2020s, social networks began to develop strongly, but there was almost no review information about Tuyen Quang. Information about tourism in Tuyen Quang was mainly still on official channels, but Luyen realized: Not many people know about official channels. And Review Tuyen Quang was born. The main purpose of reviewing Tuyen Quang is to introduce delicious restaurants, attractive destinations, etc. so that travel enthusiasts can choose...
Initially, Review Tuyen Quang re-exploited information and images from photographers and localities. However, Luyen said, if the introduction was only based on re-exploited information, it would not be objective. If it was not verified, there would be errors and it would affect tourists' views of the locality... Luyen focused on creating videos based on her own experiences and evaluations. The traditional festivals of the Tay, Dao, and Mong people in Yen Thuan, Chiem Hoa, Lam Binh, the brilliant homeland landscapes in Nam Me, Khuoi Nhi, Hong Thai, Ban Ba, Dong Van, Meo Vac... Luyen had set foot in them all. The wife experienced them, the husband filmed and took pictures. Just like that, love combined with passion contributed to spreading the image of the homeland in the most natural, authentic, and warm way.
Luyen Bao, the video that attracted the most likes, comments, and shares was the video about the traditional festival of the Dao people in Yen Thuan. The experiences of catching fish by hand, cycling on the monkey bridge, the bright, natural smiles of ethnic minorities... have attracted 2.9 million views and many comments and messages from tourists across the country.
Painting the homeland through film footage
Through each trip, Nguyen Thi Luyen realized that the biggest limitation in promoting Tuyen Quang tourism is the lack of documents and information, and especially the lack of appearance and reviews on pages and groups for travel enthusiasts.
Experience with children in Dong Van stone plateau. |
Like the trekking trip to Nam Me waterfall in Thuong Lam commune that was just done at the end of June, Luyen and her husband hired a local guide to climb the mountain and wade through the waterfall for several hours. Luyen couldn't remember how many times she fell. Her arms and legs were scratched, her clothes were dirty, her face was pale, but she didn't want to give up. As they walked, the couple encouraged each other: Only after going through difficulties can we love the sweet fruit more. And the results were beyond imagination. When Luyen posted information and pictures of Nam Me waterfall on her personal page and shared information in backpacking travel groups, she was overloaded with messages asking about the location, contact information, and how to get there.
What Luyen is always proud of is that she and her husband do not "commercialize" their experiential activities. She spends her own money on all trips to have the most objective and fair assessment. She wants to build a "clean" personal brand, promoting the image of her hometown in the best and most effective way. Luyen and her husband collaborate with Tuyen Quang Information page and luckily, the provincial leaders all support and create conditions for the couple to participate and experience tourism activities and major festivals of the province both inside and outside the province.
Nguyen Thi Luyen smiled and boasted: The greatest joy is that wherever we go, people recognize us. Like the trip to experience the Magnolia Flower Festival in Phuc Yen at the beginning of the year, wherever we went, people recognized us and invited us to stay for free...
Not only passionate about experiences, Luyen is also the founder of the group "Yearbook for you", gathering members who are photographers to take yearbook photos for students in disadvantaged areas and ethnic minority areas. At the end of the last school year, the group "Yearbook for you" presented yearbook photos, school bags and many gifts to students at Doan Ket school, Dao Vien primary and secondary boarding school for ethnic minorities.
Nguyen Thi Luyen's goal is to continue her journey, especially when Tuyen Quang has expanded, there is room for larger and more unique tourism development, with a stronger identity. For this small and energetic girl, this is her way to contribute to spreading Tuyen Quang tourism and creating a deeper, more lasting impression on tourists from all over the world.
