Coix seed 20g, red bean 30g, Smilax glabra 30g, rice 100g. Wash all ingredients, cook with appropriate amount of water into porridge. Divide into 3 meals a day, with a little white sugar or rock sugar.

Foods to avoid

While sick, you should avoid greasy foods, hot foods and foods that are too nutritious.

People with chickenpox should avoid eating hot spices such as: ginger, onion, garlic, leeks, chili, pepper, dill, curry, mustard, coriander, meats such as goat, dog, chicken, duck, goose, eel, seafood (shrimp, crab, clams, snails...), lychee, longan, plum, ripe mango, jackfruit, persimmon, cherry, spinach, fatty foods such as chestnuts, roasted peanuts, roasted melon seeds, fried beans, donuts, fried foods, animal fats...

The most taboo is cinnamon, because cinnamon has a very hot, pure yang nature, and has the effect of warming and supporting fire. Too much dryness will damage yin, which is very dangerous for chickenpox patients.
