A00, A01, C00: RECRUITMENT SOURCES HAVE A DECREASE TREND
Compared to 2022, in the C00 block this year, from about 18 to 28 points, the recruitment source has decreased significantly. After calculating the priority points of candidates, the recruitment source of the C00 block this year generally decreased compared to last year. From 15 points, the recruitment source shows signs of decreasing.
However, at 17 points, the decrease in recruitment sources is more evident (about 3%). The range of points with the largest decrease (about 6 - 8%) is from 19 to 23 points. From 24 points onwards, the gap between this year's recruitment sources and last year's is narrowed, until 28 points, the recruitment sources of block C00 of the 2 years begin to have similarities.
The Ministry of Education and Training has announced the minimum scores for medical and dental majors in 2023, an increase of 0.5 points compared to last year.
For block A00, at the score range from 14.5 to 17.5, the score distribution of this year and last year is similar in terms of recruitment sources. From 18 points onwards, there are signs of a decline in recruitment sources this year, but the decrease is not significant until about 20 points. From 20.5 to 27 points, the higher the score, the more it decreases. From 23 to 25.5 points is the biggest decrease, a decrease of about 5 - 7% compared to last year. From 28 points and above, the recruitment source for 2 years is equivalent. Block A01 this year and last year have similar recruitment sources. Only up to the mark of 24.5 to 27 points, the recruitment source for A01 this year has a slight decrease, but not significant (about 1 - 2%).
B00 AND D01: INCREASED RECRUITMENT SOURCES
On the contrary, this year's B block has a sharp increase in recruitment compared to last year, especially in the low score range (from 15 to 23.5 points). The biggest increase is in the score range from 17 to 22.5 points, from 10 to nearly 20%. But at around 25 points, the 2-year recruitment source is almost equivalent. In particular, from the 25.5 mark, the 2-year recruitment source is the same. This is an important basis for the Ministry of Education and Training to decide to increase 0.5 points when deciding to determine the floor score for medical and dental majors (22.5 points, while in recent years the floor score for these 2 majors has usually been 22 points).
Score distribution of block B in 2022 and 2023
Block D01: From 14.5 to 24 points, this year's recruitment source is better than last year's, at a rate of a few percentage points to about 5 - 6%. The higher the score (after 22.5 points), the narrower the gap between the two years' recruitment sources. From the 26 point mark onwards, this year's D01 recruitment source is the same as last year.
