From Vietnam to the international stage

Having just returned to Vietnam after 12 years of studying in the Russian Federation under the Agreement between the two governments , Nguyen Khac Hoa has been able to participate in the vibrant artistic activities taking place in the country with an eagerness to contribute to the classical chamber art of his country.
Previously, at the Gnessin National Academy of Music (Moscow), Nguyen Khac Hoa successfully completed his master's program, post-master's opera internship, and is currently a PhD student specializing in Opera, preparing to defend his thesis at the end of this year.
During his studies in Russia, Nguyen Khac Hoa received many short-term scholarships in Europe. He had the opportunity to work with world- famous opera artists such as tenor Dmitry Korchak (Russia), Thomas Hampson (USA) and Raina Kabaivanska (Italy).

At Autumn Melody 2025, Nguyen Khac Hoa will participate in a typical vocal program on August 20 at the City Theater, alongside leading Vietnamese opera singers such as soprano Dao To Loan and soprano Pham Khanh Ngoc. With a warm, colorful baritone voice and a long training period in Russia, he will bring classic works by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov.
Nguyen Khac Hoa shared: "Every time I return to perform in Vietnam, I always want to bring what I learned internationally to give to the audience at home."
For Nguyen Khac Hoa, music is not only a career but also a mission to become a “business card” of Vietnamese culture. He has performed at many famous stages such as Tver Philharmonic, Vladimir Philharmonic, Moscow Philharmonic (Russia), Sapporo Concert Hall, Kyoto Concert Hall (Japan) as well as in Germany, Italy, Switzerland… and major stages in the country such as Hanoi Opera House, Ho Guom Theater.
The echoes

During his time studying in Russia, Nguyen Khac Hoa not only studied but also continuously asserted himself on the international stage with a series of awards such as: Grand Prix in Moldova (2015), Second Prize at the Bella Voce Youth Opera Competition (2018) in Moscow, First Prize at the All-Russian Kabalevsky Music Competition (2023). He is the only Vietnamese contestant to enter the vocal finals of the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition in 2023 at the Mariinsky Theater, Russia.
In 2022, he became the first Vietnamese artist invited to perform at the Crimson Sails Grand Arts Festival in Saint Petersburg (Russia), conquering tens of thousands of audiences with the song Endless Blue Sea by Muslim Magomayev.

In 2025, Khac Hoa participated in many concerts with Hanoi Philharmonic and VNOB, notably the Musical Night program at Hanoi Opera House.
The audience of the program Autumn Melody 2025 will meet a more mature Nguyen Khac Hoa, with more experience but still keeping the burning passion for music. The baritone voice promises to not only resound in the auditorium but also forever resonate in the hearts of listeners as a testament to the connecting power of music, overcoming all distances and touching the heart.
