Accordingly, Thuy Linh increased 3 places, reaching 11th place on this ranking with 28,160 points, 590 points behind 10th place held by Chen Yufei. Thuy Linh is temporarily ranked above many other famous tennis players such as Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Zhang Beiwen, Supanida Katethong, Nozomi Okuhara or Akane Yamaguchi.

The World Tour Rankings are different from the regular World Rankings, which only show the performance of players in the current season. The top 8 players in this Ranking will qualify for the prestigious BWF World Tour Finals at the end of the year. That is why players in the top 20 of the World Rankings are not doing well in the World Tour Rankings such as Yamaguchi, Tunjung, Katethong, Busanan Ongbamrungphan or Kim Ga-eun, etc.

The top 10 players in the Women's Singles World Tour rankings (from highest to lowest) are: Pornpawee Chochuwong, An Se-young, Ratchanok Intanon, Tomoka Miyazaki, Wang Zhiyi, Putri Wardani, Han Yue, Yeo Jia Min, Pornpicha Choeikeewong and Chen Yufei.

Nguyen Thuy Linh is in very good form in the 2025 season. "Badminton Beauty Queen of Vietnam" has participated in 7 BWF World Tour tournaments since the beginning of the year, including 1 round of 16, 2 quarter-finals and 1 final at the Super 300 German Open.

Thuy Linh's notable defeats this year include former world number 2 Pusarla Venkata Sindhu (twice winner), current runner-up of the All Japan tournament Natsuki Nidaira and Line Christophersen, in addition to her excellent performances against Akane Yamaguchi, An Se-young and Yeo Jia Min.

In the World Ranking, Nguyen Thuy Linh also increased 2 places to 24th in the world with 46,600 accumulated points thanks to her achievement of reaching the quarterfinals of the Malaysia Masters last week.
