On the afternoon of September 24, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen chaired the working session on programs, projects, and plans for agricultural development in the area for 2021-2025, and proposed the period 2026-2030. According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the whole province will implement 21 programs, projects and 18 specific plans of the industry. Up to now, most of the projects and plans have achieved the set targets, contributing to the growth rate of the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector reaching 4.75%, accounting for 34.87% of the province's value added structure.

In the period of 2026-2030, Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Environment proposed 20 programs and projects in the fields of cultivation, livestock, aquaculture, forestry, irrigation, water resources, land, environment, geology and minerals.

Thereby, applying appropriate technology to develop ecological agriculture, harmoniously combining ecological agriculture with high-tech agriculture to promote the advantages of each development model, limiting negative impacts. Based on large-scale commodity specialized areas of key products, developing cooperatives, strengthening links with processing enterprises to form regional value chains.

At the same time, Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Environment deploys breakthrough solutions to develop infrastructure for large-scale concentrated production areas, creating conditions for modern and sustainable agricultural development, gradually increasing investment in intra-field transportation, connecting transportation with logistics systems to expand development space. Industries supporting agricultural production develop plans to improve quality and efficiency, minimize damage caused by natural disasters and epidemics, contributing to increasing value and quality, and reducing production costs.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen acknowledged the growth rate of the agricultural sector through the implementation of programs and projects in the past 5 years. With the goal of 2030, with a vision to 2045, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will deploy a coordination mechanism with relevant departments and branches to promote the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in agricultural development, build agricultural growth scenarios from programs and projects, synchronously deploy solutions, and strive to achieve a double-digit growth rate.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that programs, projects and plans for the 2026-2030 period must be based on the orientation of effective and sustainable agricultural development, increasing added value associated with promoting the processing industry and expanding the market.
Types of ecological agriculture and high-tech agriculture are encouraged to develop, expand regional and inter-regional linkages, produce large fields, build collective brands, increase the area of ​​​​granting growing area codes and packaging facility codes for export.
