During my journey of traveling and writing, over the past 10 years, I have produced about 4,200 news and articles in the genres of written news, photo news, television reports... many of which have been recognized and rewarded by the Vietnam News Agency and Thanh Hoa province.
In response to the National Tourism Year 2015, I participated in and won the second prize (no first prize) in the writing contest on “Land and People of Thanh Hoa”. In 2018, my and my colleagues from the Thanh Hoa TTX agency’s series of articles about floods in Thanh Hoa province won the B prize of the Tran Mai Ninh Journalism Award. Also in 2018, my reflection article broadcast on the News TV channel “More than 8 years of bringing disabled friends to school” won the encouragement prize of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for youth and union work in 2018. In 2019, my and my colleagues’ series of works about floods occurring in Sa Na village, Quan Son mountainous district won the A prize of the Vietnam News Agency Journalism Award.
In particular, during the peak period of propaganda for COVID-19 prevention and control in Thanh Hoa (2020-2021), with the task of monitoring the local health sector, I closely followed the focal points, worked and sent the most timely and accurate information to the National News Editorial Board, Photo Department, News Television as well as other publications of the agency on COVID-19 prevention and control in Thanh Hoa, reflecting the province's efforts in implementing many synchronous measures to both prevent and limit the spread of the epidemic, while ensuring the implementation of socio -economic development tasks, ensuring social security and safety in the locality. During the peak half month of the COVID-19 epidemic in Thanh Hoa, I went in and out of the isolation area of the Department of Tropical Diseases (Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital) three times to record images, write articles about the treatment and care of patients, and the optimism of the medical staff in the fight against this disease. Many of my articles were highly appreciated by agencies, colleagues, and local authorities. In particular, when the article "The "warriors" in white coats" about the silent sacrifices of the medical staff of the Department of Tropical Diseases - Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital in the "fight" against the COVID-19 epidemic was published on the news pages of VNA, Tin Tuc, Vietnamplus, Bnew... I received many messages and calls from the medical staff of the hospital for speaking for them about what they had experienced during the days of fighting the COVID-19 epidemic.
At that time, when we knew that our team intended to enter the quarantine area to work, some colleagues advised us not to go in, we could ask for photos from the doctors or the hospital's photo archive, call the treating doctor directly to ask for information... Some people even said: "Do you have to jump into the pan to write about the fat in the pan of fat?". But we understand that for reporters, especially photo reporters, taking pictures requires "commitment" because if we don't go in directly, we won't be able to get real images, the fastest, most timely, and accurate news articles. Fortunately, many of my articles in the quarantine area reflecting the process of fighting the COVID-19 epidemic were highly appreciated by the agency, colleagues, and local authorities, as well as received many positive responses from the medical team, doctors, and readers. Personally, I was commended by the industry leaders and leaders of Thanh Hoa province during the propaganda campaign against the COVID-19 epidemic. Then, in 2023, I won second prize in the first photo contest "Beauty of Thanh Hoa Journalists" organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association of Thanh Hoa province...
