Designer Hoang Ly shared that 30 years of pursuing ao dai design is a journey of love and perseverance. Because the ao dai heritage is traditional but still needs persistent creativity to keep the ao dai always new in the flow of national development.

Designer Hoang Ly expressed her thoughts on her journey with Vietnamese ao dai.

Stemming from her love of beauty and pride in the traditional ao dai, Nguyen Ly naturally fell in love with the profession. Despite experiencing many ups and downs when the traditional ao dai was at times less popular with the public, especially the young, she still steadfastly pursued her passion. "It is the love for this cultural heritage that has helped me stand firm," she confided.

Over the past three decades, she has created hundreds of ao dai collections, notably the "Time Mark" collection with 468 ancient patterns that has been recognized by the Vietnam Guinness Book of Records. This achievement is a testament to her perseverance and unwavering passion in preserving and developing traditional ao dai.

On this occasion, designer Hoang Ly launched the collection "National flower resounds around the world". She expressed: "I want through this collection, Vietnamese ao dai will become a cultural bridge, bringing Vietnamese beauty to friends around the world. Each ao dai is a story, each pattern is a message of peace and connection".

The collection includes 41 designs, inspired by the national flowers and flags of 41 countries on 5 continents, clearly expressing the desire to connect global cultures through the language of national fashion . Each Ao Dai in the collection is an elaborate work of art crafted on high-quality silk, combining traditional hand embroidery techniques of Thuong Tin craft village with modern 4D printing technology, creating a unique harmony between traditional beauty and contemporary trends.

With a message of peace, friendship and solidarity among peoples around the world, the collection not only affirms the new stature of Vietnamese ao dai but also demonstrates the remarkable maturity in creative thinking of designer Hoang Ly.

In her role as President of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Culture Club, she affirmed that she will continue to make efforts to spread the love of Ao Dai to the community, inspire the young generation, and at the same time promote promotional activities to bring Vietnamese Ao Dai further into the international arena.
