Designer Thach Linh tells the story of "Kinh Bac Quintessence" through fashion

NDO - The typical cultural features of Kinh Bac region have been incorporated by designer Thach Linh into the collection of Ao Dai and evening gowns. The collection was introduced at the Fashion show “Tinh Hoa Kinh Bac - Designer Thach Linh” held at Hanaka Paris Ocean Park Urban Area, Tu Son, Bac Ninh.

This show is part of a project to honor the beauty of national culture and promote tourism through fashion initiated by designer Thach Linh and organized from 2023 in many provinces and cities across the country.

The first collection introduced by designer Thach Linh at the show was “Chi Hai Xung Xinh”, inspired by the traditional Quan Ho costumes of the Lien Anh and Lien Chi singers in the Kinh Bac countryside.

In addition, the image of Dong Ho paintings - the quintessence of Vietnamese culture - is also clearly depicted on the designs, clearly showing the intersection between the past and the present.

Designer Thach Linh shared: “Quan Ho costumes not only express aesthetic art and external form, but they also encompass the cultural depth of Quan Ho people - Bac Ninh . To me, renewing traditional costumes is the first step to help young audiences re-approach and become more familiar with and interested in national culture.”

If “Chi Hai Xung Xinh” bears the mark of Kinh Bac culture, Thach Linh’s second collection – “Su Viet Thi Thoai” is inspired by the heroic history of the Vietnamese people. Each outfit in the collection tells a story about heroes, feats and immortal legends of the country.

The designs are created from high-quality materials such as silk, brocade, and taffeta, combined with sophisticated hand-embroidered details, creating a beauty that is both classic and modern.

With the main colors of red, yellow, black and blue, the collection represents the strength, power, and longevity of the nation. Dragon, phoenix, lotus motifs, and images of historical dynasties are cleverly incorporated into each design, highlighting the combination of tradition and creativity.

Along with designer Thach Linh, the stage of the Fashion show “Tinh hoa Kinh Bac” also brought to the public unique performances from two southern designers: designer Chau Dai Hai with the collection “Craft Dance”, and designer Nguyen Viet Hung with the collection “Where Time Stops”.

Not only a fashion stage, “Tinh hoa Kinh Bac” is also a true music party. In particular, for the first time, a runway stage has the participation of the famous trio of the song “Bac Bling”: Hoa Minzy, Meritorious Artist Xuan Hinh and musician Tuan Cry.

This song, which has attracted more than 170 million views on Youtube, was performed by 3 artists with choreography by famous TikTokers, creating an unprecedentedly vibrant performance in front of the cheers of more than 10,000 spectators.

The program also features the voices of singers Nhat Huyen, Ha Myo, Anh Thu, Phong Thien... and designer Thach Linh.

Designer Thach Linh was born in 1994 in Hai Duong, is a singer, studied vocal music at the Military University of Culture and Arts and won second prize in the Sao Mai contest of Hai Duong province.

She is the costume designer for many famous artists such as Hoa Minzy, Dong Nhi, Hoang Thuy Linh, Thu Quynh, Le Hoang Phuong, Do Thi Ha, Vo Hoang Yen, Huong Giang, Nong Thuy Hang, Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc...

Thach Linh is also the initiator and organizer of a series of fashion shows promoting Vietnamese culture and tourism through fashion.
