Today, May 18, in the solemn and emotional atmosphere of the historic May days, commemorating the 135th birthday of the great President Ho Chi Minh, the VietnamEducation Publishing House and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen, Thailand, held the launching ceremony of the Vietnamese-Thai bilingual book entitled "Uncle Ho in Thailand".
This is a cultural and diplomatic event of profound significance, contributing to honoring the life and revolutionary career of Uncle Ho while strengthening the good traditional friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Thailand.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Van Tung - Member of the Board of Members, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Education Publishing House said that the book "Uncle Ho in Thailand" is a work of careful collection and compilation, gathering valuable historical documents, authentic and touching stories about the time President Ho Chi Minh was active in the revolution in the Kingdom of Thailand in the years 1928-1929. Although his stay in Thailand was only over a year, this was an extremely important stage in Uncle Ho's journey to find a way to save the country.
Under the pseudonym Thau Chin, Nguyen Ai Quoc arrived in Siam (now Thailand) in July 1928 and quickly integrated himself into the lives of overseas Vietnamese. Here, he directly built and consolidated the revolutionary base, preparing politically , ideologically and organizationally for the establishment of a proletarian political party in Vietnam.
From the small Vietnamese villages in the provinces of Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Phichit, the image of Mr. Chin (Thau Chin) has become close and dear to the people. He has aroused and fostered the spirit of patriotism and national solidarity in the overseas Vietnamese community, laying a solid foundation for the patriotic movement of our overseas compatriots in Thailand.

Despite operating in extremely difficult conditions, always being closely monitored and hunted, thanks to the love, protection and shelter of overseas Vietnamese and the Thai people, Uncle Ho was still safe to continue his noble revolutionary cause.
The stories about his simplicity, closeness, immense love and profound wisdom during this time have been deeply engraved in the minds of many generations of Vietnamese people in Thailand, becoming sacred memories, valuable lessons and vividly and authentically recreated in the book "Uncle Ho in Thailand".
“For the Vietnam Education Publishing House, a publisher with a long tradition and leading reputation in the field of publishing textbooks, educational materials and cultural publications in Vietnam, publishing and participating in introducing this book is not only a political task but also a source of pride and great responsibility,” said Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tung.
According to Mr. Tung, the publication will make an important contribution to educating generations of Vietnamese people, especially the young generation living, studying and working in Thailand, about President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. The book will help them better understand their origins and the patriotic tradition of the nation and follow Uncle Ho's shining example.
Not only does the Vietnamese-Thai bilingual book “Uncle Ho in Thailand” have profound educational significance for the Vietnamese people, it is also a vivid demonstration of the fine traditional friendship between the Vietnamese and Thai peoples. During his years of working in Thailand, President Ho Chi Minh sowed the seeds of sympathy, fostering understanding and closeness between the two peoples. The love and care that the Thai people had for Uncle Ho and the patriotic children of Vietnam during those difficult years was a beautiful expression of pure international solidarity.
Today, the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand are growing stronger in all fields, from politics, economics, culture to people-to-people exchange. The book “Uncle Ho in Thailand” was published in this context, making it even more meaningful, contributing to deepening mutual understanding and consolidating the humanistic foundation for the good diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
The book also contributes to affirming the important role of the Vietnamese community abroad, cultural ambassadors, bridges connecting friendship between Vietnam and countries around the world, including the Kingdom of Thailand./.
