The musician's full name is Nguyen Quoc Dung, born in 1951 in Thailand; a few years later his family returned to Vietnam. At the age of 11 he was writing music, and at 16 he was the valedictorian of the National Conservatory of Music (French-Western music). After passing the Baccalaureate 2, Quoc Dung entered Van Hanh University (Saigon).

Not only that, Quoc Dung is an artist who performs many musical instruments of many different genres and is a composer with his own unique sound. In the music industry, Quoc Dung is one of the pioneers in the field of recording and producing CDs. He is also known as an actor when he played the male lead in the film My School by director Le Dan.
