Nhan Co aims to become a modern green aluminum industrial center

Since its operation, Nhan Co Aluminum Complex has affirmed its position as a national key industrial project, the nucleus of local economic development. The factory has not only maintained a stable design capacity of 650 thousand tons/year, but has also achieved and exceeded 700 thousand tons for many consecutive years. In the period 2015 - 2025, the average aluminum consumption output reached 682 thousand tons/year; in the period 2023 - 2024 alone, it exceeded 720 thousand tons/year.

Average revenue in the 2020 - 2025 period will reach 3,520 billion VND/year, an increase of 18% compared to the 2015 - 2020 period; in 2024 alone, it will reach over 3,800 billion VND; the average state budget contribution will be 515 billion VND/year, accounting for more than 60% of the total state budget revenue in the area. In the first 6 months of 2025, the factory produced 364,563 tons of aluminum, and is expected to reach 700,000 tons for the whole year, with revenue of over 3,391 billion VND.

A special highlight is the Dak Nong Aluminum Electrolysis Plant project invested by Tran Hong Quan Metallurgy Co., Ltd., which started construction in September 2014 in Nhan Co Industrial Park with an area of 129.42 hectares. The project has a designed capacity of 450 thousand tons of aluminum/year, consuming about 900 thousand tons of aluminum/year. According to the plan, when put into production, the project will consume all the aluminum output of Nhan Co Aluminum Plant (630 thousand tons/year) and part of the output of Tan Rai Aluminum Plant (270 thousand tons/year). This is a strategic breakthrough, forming a closed bauxite - aluminum - aluminum industrial chain, contributing to completely replacing the current imported aluminum.

When operating, the project is expected to contribute about 900 million USD/year to the province's GDP, about 70 million USD/year to the state budget, and create direct jobs for about 1,000 workers. Not only opening up the prospect of turning Nhan Co commune into a national bauxite - aluminum and post-aluminum industrial center, this project also creates a strong driving force for the development of supporting industries, services and comprehensively promoting the socio-economic development in the area.

With the significant contribution of this industry, in the 2025 - 2030 term, Nhan Co Commune Party Committee has determined its development vision to become a modern green aluminum industrial center of Lam Dong province. At the same time, focusing on developing bauxite mining, aluminum processing, and aluminum smelting industries is one of the three strategic breakthroughs. Nhan Co Commune aims to maintain a stable aluminum output of 700 - 750 thousand tons per year, contributing to the budget from 550 - 600 billion VND, aiming to become a typical green industrial enterprise of the Central Highlands.

To realize this goal, Nhan Co Commune Party Committee will synchronously deploy key strategic development solutions, aiming at developing green and modern industry; applying advanced technology, strictly monitoring the environment; enterprises linking production with social and community responsibility. The central goal is to build Nhan Co into a commune with developed industry. The locality will promote private economic development, considering this an important driving force to promote economic growth; focus on developing synchronous and modern infrastructure, effectively exploiting new development spaces, taking the central area of Nhan Co commune as the driving force to promote development.

State management of land, construction, environment and minerals continues to be focused. Along with proactive coordination to complete the task of site clearance, support the construction of key works and projects, Nhan Co commune will focus on leading and directing the site clearance of Nhan Co 2 Industrial Park, the 1/500 detailed planning area to serve workers and experts working in Nhan Co 2 Industrial Park and resettlement, social housing in village 5...

It can be said that with the comprehensive and close leadership of the Party Committee, Nhan Co has been gradually affirming its role as the province's industrial core, a bright spot in the development of green and modern industry, contributing to promoting economic growth, stabilizing people's lives and enhancing the local position.
